This month's STEM in a Bag kit is all about how bees use static electricity to move pollen, and whether you can engineer a hand pollinator that does the same thing.

Kits are free and available at Chandler Park, Gathering Place, LaFortune Park, Martin Regional Library, O'Brien Park, and SoCo - South County Recreation Center.

Already built one? Tell us how it went. Everyone who fills out our short feedback survey is entered to win a $25 Amazon gift card: https://airtable.com/appMwIHIQGHTSm0MO/pagCUBrlygj1sUFcS/form

Want to be part of Tulsa's drone ecosystem? Skyway Range is hosting the RoboNation SUAS (Student Unmanned Aerial Systems) Competition this month, and they're looking for volunteers to help pull it off.

Roles range from event setup to mission support (launching and recovering vehicles) to serving as a competition judge. Most roles don't require drone experience, just a willingness to help out sometime between September 13 and 19!

Did you know? 🐝 Bees carry a static charge. As they fly, their tiny hairs pick up electricity, which helps them collect pollen, transfer it between flowers, and even sense a flower's electric field.

This month's STEM in a Bag kit asks you to do what the bee does. Design a hand pollinator, then build and test it using the Engineering Design Process.

Pick up a kit at Chandler Park, Gathering Place, LaFortune Park, Martin Regional Library, O'Brien Park, or SoCo - South County Recreation Center.

Thanks to the volunteers at CEC and Oklahoma Central Credit Union for assembling this month's kits.
