We take care of teachers so they can be their best for students.

Being an OEA member means having your back at school — and outside of it. Your membership brings discounts, travel deals, and much more because your life doesn't stop at the classroom door.

Our hearts hurt. Oklahoma public education lost a great champion. Former TCTA President, Steve Stockley, passed away today. Steve leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Lynn Brasmer Stockley (also a former TCTA President), his kids, grandkids, many politicians (he’s not sad to leave several of them), and countless former students, including current TCTA President, Shawna Mott-Wright. He was a teacher, a counselor, a friend, a mentor, and will be greatly missed by all.

Parents of native students in Tulsa Public Schools, have you attended a JOM Indian Education Patent Committee meeting? Next Tuesday is your chance.

When certain factions say they want parents to be in control of their child's education, this is one way to do so. Get involved! Learn what's happening.

As everyone is finishing up school years, if you don't have anything to do with "extras" or "not going to use agains" or "didn't quite work outs," tcta has an event called the Give N Grab.

In the spring, gently used and like new items are donated. In the fall, new to the profession teachers "shop" for classroom needs for free. We are accepting donations Thursday and Friday, May 28th and 29th from 3 to 6 pm at the tcta office. We also take donations of new items.

We've already worked for the money. The salary for 10 months of work is divided over 12 months and paid out accordingly.

Ready to greet TPS Early Career Educators for Family Movie Night. With a grant from the NEA, tcta is hosting teachers and their families for a special screening of Finding Dory. We know that, in spite of our best efforts, a lot of work cannot be accomplished during the school day and ends up being taken home, which takes time away from our families. We are giving some of that time back.
We still have capacity for a few additional families. Check in with LeeAnne if you didn't get a chance to sign up. The movie starts at 5.
