What an incredible Back-to-School Giveaway we had on Saturday!

Our Grove Elementary students are ready to start the school year with confidence thanks to the incredible generosity of First Baptist Tulsa! This annual giveaway is always fantastic and we are so thankful!

Approximately 225 students received FREE jeans, shoes, backpacks, and Grove school spirit shirts to help them begin the school year prepared and excited.

We are so grateful for this amazing partnership with FBC Tulsa and the investment in our Grove students and families. Your kindness and support make a lasting difference, and we couldn't be more thankful.

BattleCreek Church is sponsoring a back-to-school event at its Broken Arrow BattleCreek church location, 3025 N Aspen Ave. This is an opportunity for families to come get free resources to help them start the school year off strong. It will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. August 1 on a first come first serve basis.

Union Public Schools is hosting a Transportation & Operations Career Fair on Tuesday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place in the lobby of the UMAC (Union Multi-purpose Activity Center), 6836 S. Mingo Road, in Tulsa.

Tulsa-area jobseekers are invited to attend the event, with the primary focus being on filling the district’s open positions for school bus drivers and mechanics for the 2026-27 school year. ----------Bus Drivers Needed----------

Every year, more than 10,000 students ride Union buses on a regular basis. Every day, 73 bus drivers complete 360 routes, transporting students to and from school.

If you or someone you know is interested in one of our open bus driver positions, please visit www.unionps.org/careers. Starting pay is $19.19 per hour plus benefits, and Union provides paid training. It takes approximately four weeks for prospective drivers to get through the training, unless applicants already have their CDL. Union uses a computerized routing system, and safety is our No. 1 priority with cameras and monitoring on the bus.

For mechanics, the pay ranges from $20.11/hour to $33.52/hour, depending on experience. Union counts all years of experience for mechanics and bus drivers.

“Our bus drivers play a critical role at Union, as they are often the first face of the district that students see in the morning and the last one at night,” said Rob Harris, director of Transportation at Union. “Time and time again, we hear from our students about bus drivers who have been a positive influence in their lives. Many of them motivate and cheer on our kids, so it’s a fun and rewarding job.”

The employment fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UMAC. The event is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to Tulsa Zoo Camp and our amazing community partner sponsor, the Opp Project, for providing such a wonderful experience for our students last week for Grove students!

Our students learned so much while exploring the amazing world of animals through this year's Pokémon-themed camp. They loved discovering real-life animal matches to their favorite Pokémon characters and learning about the unique traits that make each animal special.

Our Grove Eagles took a picture with the Bald Eagles!

Throughout the week, students enjoyed free breakfasts, lunches, and snacks, ensuring they were fueled for a full day of learning and fun. Each day brought exciting hands-on experiences with different animals, giving students opportunities to observe, interact, and learn in meaningful ways.

The fun didn't stop there! Students also enjoyed carousel rides, train rides, creative crafts, and engaging games in the auditorium. Every activity helped create lasting memories while encouraging curiosity, learning, and friendship.

Thank you again to Tulsa Zoo Camp and the Opp Project for investing in our Grove students and providing such an unforgettable experience. We are grateful for your generosity and dedication to enriching the lives of young learners!

Welcome Back to Mrs. Ashley Hamilton, our NEW Grove Principal!
We are thrilled to welcome Ashley Hamilton back to Grove Elementary as our new Grove Principal! After serving in another AP role over the past two years at McAuliffe, Ashley returns to the Grove community with a continued deep understanding of our students, staff, and families.
During her time as Assistant Principal at Grove from 2021-2024, Ashley made a lasting impact through her dedication, leadership, and commitment to Grove student success. We are excited to see that same passion and vision return and guide our school into this next chapter. We love Ashley's contagious sunshine and JOY!

Last Friday at Grove Elementary started with rain but ended with smiles as students and staff - and Principal Randi Aubertine - celebrated the last day of school.

Union Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children in the community ages 1-18 without charge and are the same for all children.

Children do not need to be enrolled at Union Public Schools to receive meals. All meals must be eaten onsite per USDA regulations.
