Starbase Tulsa Oklahoma

🎓 **Day 4** with our third group of campers at **STARBASE Tulsa**!!

🧫 In their project: Tiny Worlds with Big Discoveries, the campers were able to check out the growth of their mysterious bacterial and fungi collections from their first day at camp. We saw a new one this time that seemed to be growing vertically, reminding everyone of a volcano. 💥
🚀🧰 Campers enjoyed using all their creativity and engineering design capabilities to life with their R2K water rockets and Sphero Blueprint builds.
🤖 To wrap up camp with a special send off, everyone raced their Spheros in the dark!

💫**Day 3** at **DOD** **STARBASE Tulsa** with our last group of campers this summer. 🌞
🔬 Campers collected samples from Starbase's Quaker Pond and marsh. With the use of our microscopes, the researchers were able to explore their samples and check out the divorce microorganisms in the water.
🏁Parachute Races became an intense competition with the wind truly working against the runners this time around.
🏎 CO{2} Dragsters were a huge hit! We got to bring out the big boy canisters, and the times were impressive and close!

**Day 2** at **Starbase Tulsa** with our third group of STARBASE Summer STEAM Campers!
👾 We are so thankful the **Oklahoma Cyber Innovation Institute** came to base to spend some time with our campers! OCII taught our campers about the importance of network **confidentiality,** **integrity,** and system **availability**.
🚙 INDY Cars are an approachable yet challenging introduction to coding.
🎮 Drone Obstacle races force campers to employ spatial awareness and complex navigation skills with high-speed our ROBOLINK CoDrones.

🚀**STARBASE TULSA** is back again with a new set of Campers ready to embrace summer!🌟
This summer heat can’t get us beat! **Day 1** had the campers movin’ and grooving’ with out-of-your-chairs activities. Today campers:
🧬 Created DNA Bracelets
🦠 Collected bacteria and fungal samples
✈ Visited the jet hangar
👨‍🔬 Extracted their own DNA
🚂 Become a pathologist for pickle autopsies
🎨 Did some detective work with Chromatography
🧭 Attempted to complete the tricky STARBASE Scavenger Hunt

**Day 4** with **Military Week Camp** at **STARBASE Tulsa** 🚀
🧫 Tiny Worlds with Big Discoveries: Campers were able to check out the growth of their mysterious bacterial and fungi collections from their first day at camp.
💥🧰 Campers once again tested their construction and design skills with R2K water rocket launches and building bascule and suspension hybrid bridges with Sphero Blueprint kits.
🎈Today was our last day with our military group and we're sure going to miss seeing these families. It was a special pleasure to enable an enriching summer camp experience to these children and help create friendships that'll continue to grow outside of these gates. We hope you all enjoy an amazing summer! ☀️

🚀**Day 3** at **DOD** **STARBASE Tulsa** with **Military Week Camp**.💫
🔬 Campers collected samples from Starbase's Quaker Pond and marsh. With the use of our Moticam tablet microscopes, the biologists-in-training were able to explore the microorganisms in the aquatic biome and attempt to classify the biodiversity in their slides.
🏁Parachute Races primed competitive spirits as we explored the importance of reducing drag resistance.
🏎 CO{2} Dragsters were designed, assembled and tested in our indoor track. The competition was fierce and the winner was unexpected!
✨Special Mention: We have loved being able to give parents that work on base the opportunity to enjoy lunch with their kiddos this camp. 🌞

**Day 2** at **Starbase Tulsa** with our Military Week Campers! We are so thankful the **Oklahoma Cyber Innovation Institute** came to base to spend some time with our campers! OCII taught our campers about the importance of **cyber security** and **identity protection.**
👾 With OCII, our older campers were challenged in a virtual escape room, and the younger campers helped their digital character wisely cross a river by avoiding tricks and traps users can encounter on the web that compromise your personal identity.
🚙 INDY Cars are a colorful introduction to coding that uses nondescript card mats to help campers design infinite road networks.
🎮 Drone Racing let campers navigate through hoops in an indoors obstacle course with high-speed ROBOLINK CoDrones.
