Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Roy Clark! ❤️

Our students and staff joined the celebration with traditional clothing, country colors, jerseys, and plenty of smiles! Principal Ewing joined in by wearing Venezuela’s flag colors.

We’re proud to honor Hispanic and Latino histories, cultures, and contributions and celebrate the families who make our school community so special.

Many cultures, one Clark family! 🫶

A little Friday photo dump from around Clark 💚

This week had a little bit of everything! Students earned iNotice prizes for meeting Clark expectations, classrooms were full of creativity, and we got to enjoy some playground time too.

Our PTA also treated our teachers to muffins for being “one in a muffin” 🧁 and we had some amazing support from our community partners. Asbury Church donated a new couch and coffee table for our calming room and even came out to put it together for us. We also received support from the Rotary Club of Southeast Tulsa and Tulsa Period Pantry to help make products available for our students.

And the Scholastic Book Fair is officially taking over the library 📚 It opens September 16 and Mrs. Aldrich has been hard at work getting everything ready!

So much to celebrate at Roy Clark! 🤠❤️

Big generosity, great choices, and a whole lot of Cowboy pride!

A HUGE thank-you to M&M Lumber for their generous donation to Roy Clark! Our students and staff shared their appreciation with a special message:

“What WOOD we do without U?!”

Thank you for believing in our Cowboys and investing in our school community. Your generosity gives us so much to celebrate!

We’re also giving a BIG shout-out to Emerson for hosting a supply drive for our school! From backpacks and notebooks to crayons, Play-Doh, tissues, and classroom essentials, these donations support our students and teachers in meaningful, everyday ways. Thank you to everyone who contributed!

And let’s hear it for our iNotice students! These Cowboys were recognized for following our Clark expectations and got to choose a prize to celebrate their great choices:

Be respectful. Be responsible. Be safe. Be a hope giver.

We love catching our students doing the right thing and making sure they know their efforts matter. Take a look through the photos and help us celebrate them!

From the partners supporting our school to the students making it a better place every day, there is so much to be proud of at Clark.

Our community shows up for our Cowboys, and our Cowboys keep making us proud!

☀️🌪️ A special weather lesson for Mrs. O’Kelley's third grade class!

Mrs. O’Kelley's third graders had a special visit from Union Alumni and 2 News Oklahoma meteorologist Mike Grogan Weather! Mike read Oh Say Can You Say What’s the Weather Today? All About Weather from The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library, taught students about weather and weather safety, and answered all of their questions about being a meteorologist.

The timing couldn’t have been better! As the visit was wrapping up, students even got to see a little dust storm outside. Talk about bringing their weather lesson to life!

Thank you, Mike Grogan and 2 News Oklahoma, for such a fun and memorable visit with our Clark Cowboys!

📺 Be sure to tune in to 2 News Oklahoma tonight at 5 & 6 to see Mrs. O’Kelley’s third graders on the news!

Dear Union Parents/Guardians & Community Patrons - How confident are you in our local school system? It's a simple question -- but the answer matters now more than ever.

Union Public Schools is participating in the AASA National Research Initiative, a nationwide study benchmarking public confidence in K-12 education. We want to hear from parents, guardians and community members like you.

The survey takes about 5 to 8 minutes, is completely anonymous and helps us understand what's working, what our community values most and what our students most need to equip them for the future.

TAKE THE THOUGHT EXCHANGE SURVEY: https://tejoin.com/participate/990197822

Participation will be open until Sept. 15 at 11 p.m.

Please share with your neighbors! Thank you for being part of this important conversation — the more voices we hear from, the stronger our school district's story will be.
