🏆 Congratulations to our MVC juniors who recently competed in the National History Day Contest at the state level in Oklahoma City!

We are excited to share that Josiah Haley and Bri Johnston were selected as state-level winners and will represent MVC and Oklahoma next week at the National History Day Contest in Washington, D.C.

🎉 In addition, Josiah received the incredible honor of being selected for a showcase at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture! His documentary, The History of Hip Hop Culture, will be featured in one of the Smithsonian’s theaters, where it will be viewed by visitors from around the world.

Please join us in congratulating Josiah and Bri on these outstanding achievements and wishing them the best as they compete on the national stage! 🦅

🌍 MVC Highlights from Greece!

The last leg of the trip took our group to the Parthenon on the Acropolis, where Mr. Madden led a devotion at the Areopagus (Mars Hill). They also enjoyed a day trip to Corinth. Along the way, they've been experiencing Greek food, culture, and making unforgettable memories.

Our MVC travelers have completed the second leg of their journey, visiting the Island of Capri, Sorrento, and the ancient city of Pompeii. They’ve shared how beautiful each destination has been!

🎓 HONORING THE CLASS OF 2026 🎓

Maria Williams is the daughter of Seth and Sandra Williams. She attends Victory Church. She served as secretary of the National Honor Society, was a member of Key Club and the theatre department, and was the Citadel co-leader of the Respect House. Maria also played volleyball and basketball and served as the basketball team manager. She plans to attend Tulsa Tech to pursue her cosmetology license and hopes to open her own aesthetics clinic one day.
