We are excited to announce that today Bloomsbury press has published its six-volume A Cultural History of Democracy. Our very own Michael Mosher edited the fourth volume on Democracy in the Age of Enlightenment. Professor Mosher and his co-editor Anna Plassart (Open University, UK) introduce the volume with an essay reflecting on the notion of “enlightenment.” Michael also writes a chapter in volume on revolution amid the Enlightenment (1640–1799).
