I went overboard adding items, I wanted to have a wide variety.
The kids had a lot of fun talking about radio with Chubbs, from 106.9 K-Hits! They got to spin the prize wheel and some got to talk into the mic with the headphones on! Be sure to tune in to the morning show on Wednesday at 8:30 to hear about the visit!
What? Are you kidding me? These kids went from space to news anchors!

The last day of June Summer Camp has come and gone. Our big kids took a field trip to the splash pad and our younger kids took advantage of our partially shaded courtyard. We cannot wait to see what’s in store for July camp that starts on Monday!!! I have an infant and 2-3 year old opening if you know anyone interested!

Our superhero week has been a blast so far!
I am looking for a few things for some classrooms if you know of anyone wanting rid of them. Donations would be great, but I could pay a few bucks if they are for sale.
I need a small mini fridge. It doesn’t need to be a bigger one, but we could use either. The freezer part isn’t even necessary, I just need it to keep bottles cold.
I need at least one microwave, two if I find them. Nothing fancy, just small enough to zap a lunch here and there.
I also need a vacuum or two. The rooms have rugs on wood flooring and they attract all of the dirt, crumbs and tiny trash. I have a shark currently and it stopped sucking so I have to borrow one.
You will be my best friend if you have any of these to pass along.

Today we had musicians visit our summer camp. We had a banjo, bassoon, drum, keyboard, harp, electric and acoustic guitars, ukulele, saxophone, tambourine, trombone, viola and a psaltery. I may be missing some…sorry if I am! It was definitely some joyful noise! Some of the musicians were former UUMC students!! Thanks for coming!! Bonus pics of kids and teachers that wore some band shirts.

We had a great day visiting with some real goats, chickens, rabbits and sheep! Thank you Little Bitty Acres - Mobile Petting Zoo for visiting us!! Summer camp is fun!
