CATHY HOWARD

Over the last 22 years, Cathy has taught 6th-grade English and Reading, 7th-grade English and Literature, 7th-grade Western Hemisphere, and 6th-grade MS 101/Reading Enrichment, as well as faithfully serving as our Middle School Student Council Sponsor when her past experience in this role was discovered. Her co-workers value Cathy’s steady presence and support, her availability to listen and coach, her dry sense of humor, and her heart for serving those around Metro. She will be greatly missed in the Middle School!

MARK WITZKOSKE

After 16 years of hard work, dedication, and faithful service, Mark is retiring. His co-workers appreciate that he does a great job, always has their back, works well with others, and is amazing with kids. Thank you, Mark, for your time and care over the years, both the seen and the unseen. Enjoy the road ahead, and may the next season of your life be filled with the same joy, purpose, and kindness you’ve given to the Metro community.

Secondary Mathematics Teacher

Metro Christian Academy seeks a full-time Secondary Mathematics teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will include teaching both Middle School and High School classes. Teaching assignment will be based on experience and area of expertise.

Qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and hold an Oklahoma State Teaching Certificate.

Metro Christian Elementary students enjoyed cool weather, many outdoor games, and snow cones from Josh's Sno Shack to wrap up the school year. Congratulations to Ms. Beirute's 3rd-grade class, Mrs. Doughtery's 4th-grade class, and Mrs. Volkmer's 5th-grade class on winning this year's Tug-of-War competitions!

Kindergarten Recognition was a precious time listening to these young students sing songs, celebrate their achievements, and share their big dreams for the future. 🍎📚🎉✏️
