Hello Families,
Due to repeated recent concerns involving toys at school, beginning tomorrow, students may no longer bring toys, squishies, or any other play items from home. Any toys or similar items that are out during the school day may be confiscated. The only exception is for students whose current IEP or 504 Plan specifically identifies the item as an approved accommodation or support.
Please also keep in mind that Patrick Henry is not responsible for prohibited personal items brought to school, including items that are lost, damaged, or misplaced.

Because of the high number of student tardies and missed instructional time, we need to slightly adjust our morning routines. Starting tomorrow, we will no longer serve breakfast after 7:40 a.m. Students who are eating breakfast will be dismissed from the cafeteria to class by 7:45 a.m. Students arriving after 7:40 a.m. will now enter the building through the main front doors.
Families, if students need breakfast, please plan accordingly.

Reminder: Tomorrow night is our Back To School Bash Foam Party! Hosted by our amazing PTA! 6-8 pm. Food trucks, music and foam party fun! Bring the kids and come have a good time! We hope to see everyone there.

A quick reminder that patio pickup is NOT an option for student dismissal, and we will not call students’ names for parents who come to the patio.
Having students walk through a crowd of adults to reach a vehicle creates a safety concern. We cannot verify that every adult gathered in that area is an authorized parent or guardian, so we need to maintain a dismissal process that allows us to carefully account for who each child is released to.
I understand this is different from how dismissal may have worked in the past, but when it comes to your child's safety, we will always err on the side of caution. Thank you for understanding and for partnering with us to keep your child safe.
Please use one of the following dismissal methods for your child:
* Car Rider
* Bus Rider
* Daycare
* 41st Street Walker
* New Haven Walker
For families who want to bypass the car rider line, 41st Street Walkers and New Haven Walkers are typically the quickest dismissal options and typically arrive between 2:35 and 2:40. A map is attached with stars marking both walker pickup locations.
