We are hiring for our Play to Learn Extended Care Program!
This is a part-time position!
-We are looking for teachers for our Extended Care Program for our children ages 14 months to 8 years old! We are open Monday- Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Must have experience with children.
-At Play to Learn Extended Care, it is our job as teachers to facilitate a safe and loving play to learn environment. Through our hands on playing to learn atmosphere, we as teachers, help create an educational yet playful space for our children.
-We offer free childcare for employees - up to 1 child and a discounted price for additional children, ages 14 months - 8 years
-All Play to Learn Extended Care employees have weekends and holidays off!

And that's a wrap on Summer School 2026! We celebrated with shaved ice and a water day! A special thank you to Inks Shaved Ice for helping us celebrate and a fantastic bunch of BCS & PTL Teachers! Day 4 of Blueprint Builders, our little construction crews discovered that the strongest structures are built with teamwork! 🏗️🤝

From passing materials to encouraging one another, our builders worked side-by-side to tackle exciting construction challenges. As they stacked, balanced, sorted, and connected different building materials, they were also strengthening their hand-eye coordination, problem-solving skills, and fine motor muscles—one block and bead at a time!

Watching our friends communicate, collaborate, and celebrate each other's ideas reminded us that every great project starts with a solid foundation of kindness and cooperation. 💛

We had quite the mud puddle from all of yesterdays rain and so we were visited by the construction fairies! They built us a bridge to cross, but we had to tiptoe across so we didn't wake them up!🏗🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️

We're so proud of this hardworking crew—they're really building friendships that last, laying the groundwork for learning, and proving that many hands make light work! We can't wait to see what they'll construct next for our very last day of Summer School 2026! 🚧🔨🧱

🌧️🏗️ Blueprint Builders: Day 3! 🏗️🌧️

The weather may have tried to put a few puddles in our plans today, but our little builders didn't let the rain slow down their construction crew spirit!

Today's engineers took on a new challenge by designing and building structures with toothpicks and marshmallows. From towering creations to imaginative masterpieces, our friends discovered that great builders need patience, problem-solving skills, and sometimes a few extra marshmallows for "quality control!" 😉

Between raindrops, we continued exploring what it takes to build strong foundations, work together as a team, and turn simple materials into amazing creations. Whether we were constructing, designing, stacking, or troubleshooting, our classroom was filled with hard hats, big ideas, and even bigger imaginations.

You could say we're really building up our skills one project at a time! 🔨✨

Rain or shine, these Blueprint Builders know how to weather any challenge and keep construction moving forward. We can't wait to see what tomorrow's crew creates next!

🏗️ Blueprint Builders – Day 2! 🚧

Today our little builders got straight to work designing, constructing, and collaborating! Using tangrams, we challenged our minds to create all sorts of shapes and models while learning that every great structure starts with a plan.

Together, we built an entire city from the ground up, working as one big construction crew to connect roads, buildings, and neighborhoods. Along the way, we learned about our community heroes and the important jobs they do to help our city run smoothly every day. 🚒👮‍♀️🚑

Outside, our heavy-duty operators were hard at work in the sandbox, moving mountains (or at least lots of sand!) with diggers, dump trucks, and excavators. Back inside, our block architects continued expanding our city one tower, bridge, and building at a time. We even made some bridges for our ants to cross!

🚜 Our friends were digging every minute of learning!
🧱 And every great city starts with a solid foundation of friendship and imagination.

We can't wait to see what our Blueprint Builders construct next!

🚧👷‍♀️ Welcome to Day 1 of "Blueprint Builders"! 👷‍♂️🚧
Today we officially broke ground on our last summer adventure! Our little builders are hard at work exploring construction sites, work trucks, building materials, and all the tools they need to bring their big ideas to life. From stacking towers and designing structures to hauling, digging, scooping, and creating, our friends are laying the foundation for learning through play. Whether they're constructing with blocks, experimenting with loose parts, or operating imaginary excavators, every activity is helping build problem-solving skills, creativity, teamwork, and confidence.
🏗️ We're raising the roof on imagination! 🚜 Digging deep into hands-on learning! 🔨 Building bright minds one block at a time!

Music plays a huge part in our curriculum at PTL and this past year at BCS! We know that our teachers love to help develop so many skills by simple songs that include, singing, following instructions, and finding the beat! We also utilize midline crossing often when dancing and using musical instruments!

Day 5 of "From Garden to Grub" was such a hit we decided to turnip the volume and finish strong! We decided not to kale the vibe and said, lettuce romaine PTL friends forever! We found this fresh take on checking out what grows in our gardens very ap-peel-ing! We learned so much about fruits and vegetables and tried so many new bites that many of our friends had not tried before and they were so delicious that we realized we were bananas for them and we should never split! PTL Friends, you have made my heart beet this week, and Families, please know how grape-ful we are that you trust us to grow their precious little minds!

Day 4 of From Garden to Grub brought some cooler weather in! We had a surprise guest come and cook with us in our Prek & Olders class, Juniors made a process art parfait to match their snack the assembled, Primary painted and stamped with butterflies and loved some extra outside time spent in the garden, and our Todds did some construction on our outdoor dramatic play and helpful yard maintenance! We definitely loved every minute of being outside today!!!

Oh the bakers we must be, thanks to Day 3! We made pancakes and have some professional flippers on our hands, blueberry muffins with fresh blueberries inside, dirt cups with freshly crushed oreos, and had the sweetest garden party with friends!
