✔ Passion for working with young children

✔ Experience in early childhood education preferred

✔ DHS Master Teacher certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

✔ Current (or ability to obtain) Food Handler's Permit

✔ Current (or ability to obtain) Infant & Child CPR/First Aid Certification

✔ Ability to complete required Oklahoma DHS and CECPD training

✔ Ability to meet Oklahoma DHS Licensing and APPLE Accreditation standards

✔ Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

✔ Willingness to embrace Reggio-inspired, nature-based, child-led learning

Celebrating International Mud Day

Yesterday our children joined thousands of children around the world in celebrating International Mud Day! This special day was created to encourage children to connect with nature, embrace outdoor play, and experience the simple joy of getting muddy. It's a reminder that some of the best learning happens when children are free to explore, create, imagine, and get a little messy!

From our youngest infants making their first muddy discoveries with safe sensory experiences to our oldest preschoolers building mud volcanoes, painting with mud, and diving into imaginative play, every classroom celebrated in their own special way. It was incredible to see children of all ages exploring, laughing, creating, and learning together through nature.

Our classrooms enjoyed:
*A Muddy Car Wash
*Mud Volcanoes
*Mud Painting
*A Giant Mud Pit
*Sensory Exploration
*And so much more!

At SquareOne Early Learning Center, we believe muddy hands often lead to curious minds. Mud play supports creativity, problem-solving, scientific thinking, sensory development, cooperation, resilience, and confidence—all while creating joyful childhood memories that last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to our incredible teachers for planning such meaningful experiences and to our wonderful families for helping make the day possible by sending water play clothes and extra outfits.

Yesterday wasn't just about getting muddy—it was about giving children the freedom to wonder, discover, and experience the magic of childhood. Here's to celebrating childhood the way it should be—full of laughter, discovery, nature, and yes... plenty of mud!
