Nightfall is an extraordinary theatrical experience that brings the haunting works of Edgar Allan Poe to life in a deeply immersive way. We look forward to seeing your auditions and exploring these deeply human works at the new Black Cat Theatre Cafe. 💀
Rehearsals will run Tuesday and Sunday evenings 5:30p-9:30p starting 9/6 as needed for your role, with full cast runs beginning on 10/13 and Tech week starting on 10/18. A comprehensive rehearsal calendar will be available at auditions for your review.
Actors will receive a flat stipend and CMS Scholarship based on role.

Nightfall is an extraordinary theatrical experience that brings the haunting works of Edgar Allan Poe to life in a deeply immersive way. More than a collection of stories, I see this production as an exploration of anxiety and its many manifestations. The extraordinary power of the human mind and the ways our thoughts can shape, distort, and even create our reality. Our production embraces immersive and environmental theatre, existing in a world that feels both contemporary and dreamlike, where memory, imagination, and truth continually blur together.
Out of reverence for Poe’s work and the themes it explores, our responsibility as artists is not to play horror, but humanity. The fear must emerge from truth. As actors, we must remain deeply connected to one another and grounded in authentic human behavior, trusting that honesty, not theatrics, is what ultimately makes these stories so unsettling.
