Tulsa has a new Father of the Year and Little GuRus is beyond PROUD to say he belongs to us! (Well, we take care of his kids but... ya know 🙃). If it takes a village, this man is the Mayor and we get to see it in action everyday! Congratulations to the Savage family for being top-notch examples of love, service, humility and gratitude... and they really are just that stinking cute too!

We've had a great time celebrating the staff for Teacher Appreciation Week, but we also cannot pass up the chance to say Congratulations to Ms Nia who graduated this week with her Certificate of Mastery in Early Childhood Development. Nia is our Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher and has been at Little GuRus since the beginning. These were some of her very first students and now they are a part of her family forever! Congratulations Quinia... we are all so proud of your hard work and dedication.

But despite all of that, they are the heart of the matter. At Little GuRus STEAM Academy, we show up to give 100% to those that matter most. And we'll continue to do so Every. Single. Day. Some amazing things are happening this month at Little GuRus. They children learned about Community Helpers and the lessons really came to life with Touch-a-Truck demonstrations from the City of Tulsa Police and Fire Depts, a garbage truck from National Waste, and EMSA services (the excavator was an unplanned but welcomed surprise!). We appreciate these first responders and service members making time to come play and learn with us! The kids will remember these moments for many years to come! It may be hot outside, but this was so COOL!! Thank You Tulsa Community Helpers! 🚨🔥🏥🗑

Every Mother needs an Other to help them be the best Mom they can be. Today we held a Tea Party breakfast in celebration of all the Mothers and the Others (Aunts, Grandmas, etc) that help to raise their little ones. We hope your Mother's/Others Day is as sweet as the treats you enjoyed this morning!
