Hello Ranger Families! We are only 22 days away from the 2026/2027 school year starting! Attached are flyers (English & Spanish) for our Back to School/Schedule Pick Up! We will have concession open (popcorn and water) with proceeds going to our Drama dept. and we will have hot dogs to hand out (with a ticket you’ll receive at schedule pick up). Please enter through the main doors of our new facility on the East side of the building. We hope to see you there!

Welcome to the Ranger Family Coach B!

Coach Roderick Benman joins the Nathan Hale Rangers football program as Co-Defensive Coordinator, bringing a lifelong passion for the game and an unwavering commitment to developing young men of character, discipline, and purpose.

Known for his relentless energy, high standards, and authentic leadership, Coach Benman is dedicated to building a championship-caliber defense founded on toughness, accountability, and trust. His coaching philosophy extends far beyond wins and losses—he believes football is a powerful platform for teaching resilience, integrity, selflessness, and the work ethic required to succeed in every area of life.

A proud husband and father of six, Coach Benman is honored to join the Nathan Hale family and is excited to invest in the lives of Ranger student-athletes. The mission is simple: play fast, play physical, play together, and pursue excellence in everything.

James Smith – Offensive Coordinator, Tulsa Hale Rangers

James Smith brings 21 years of high school coaching experience to the Tulsa Hale Rangers. A former standout quarterback at Deer Creek High School (2000 District 3A-1 Player of the Year and All-State) and the University of Central Oklahoma (2000–2004), Coach Smith’s coaching career is defined by building explosive offenses.

Over his career, Coach Smith has consistently guided programs to historic heights:

Berryhill High School: Served nine years as offensive coordinator, compiling an outstanding 65-25 record and a perfect 9-for-9 postseason appearance streak while guiding an offense that averaged a powerhouse 388 yards per game and 34.8 points per game.

Victory Christian: Helped call the offense in all five playoff games during their march to the 2016 State Championship game.

Bartlesville High School: Helped guide the Bruins to a 9-3 record in 2009, securing the program’s first playoff victory since 1988.

Known for his high-energy, outgoing personality, Coach Smith builds programs anchored in discipline, high expectations, and positive reinforcement. He is now focused on establishing a dynamic offense for the Rangers while developing young men of integrity who compete with relentless passion.
