On behalf of A New Life Sober Living and Ranch 41 In Loving Memory of Philip Cong Tran
October 4, 1989 – June 17th, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip Cong Tran, affectionately known as "Phil" and lovingly nicknamed "Philly Cheese Steak" by his family. Phil left this world far too soon, but the love, laughter, and memories he shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
To know Phil was to love him. He had a heart bigger than life itself and would gladly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others defined who he was. Phil was a hard worker who took pride in everything he did and genuinely cared about the people around him.
Phil was remarkably intelligent, vibrant, and full of life. Growing up, he was known for his bright spirit, quick wit, and ability to make friends wherever he went. He brought energy and laughter into every room and was deeply loved by family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
While Phil faced a difficult battle with addiction, his family chooses to remember the man he truly was—a compassionate son, grandson, brother, and friend whose life was filled with love and purpose. Addiction was only one chapter of his story; it did not define him. His brilliant mind, caring nature, and generous soul are the legacy he leaves behind. Phil Tran gave with his whole heart to every person struggling.
Phil is survived by his loving mother, Dung Nguyen; his cherished grandmother, Kim; and his devoted sisters, Jennifer and Jacqueline. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Gigi, and we find comfort in knowing they are now reunited in peace.
Though our hearts ache with his absence, we will forever treasure the memories, laughter, and love Phil shared with us. His spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.
Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always.
We will miss you Philip with every passing day , rest in the lord we got this down here.

Making adult life decisions while staying clean, sober, and learning to truly love life is an amazing thing to witness.
Congratulations, Bryan, on opening your first real bank account and learning how to budget and manage your money responsibly. These may seem like small things to some people, but for many in recovery, these are huge milestones that represent growth, stability, accountability, and a brand-new way of living.
We are super proud of you and this accomplishment, and we are cheering you on every single step of the way. Keep pushing forward, keep building, and keep smiling through the process.
Way to go, Bryan! On to the next stepping stone we go — with a smile.

Perseverance, determination, and faith brought you to today.
You fought to leave all those things behind you, even when life seemed to set you up for failure from the very beginning. Stepping into A New Life has helped give you the encouragement, strength, and support to keep fighting and keep pushing forward.
GOD DIDN’T BRING YOU THIS FAR TO DROP YOU OFF. Remember that.
Congratulations, Chris, for getting what you deserve and working hard to rebuild your life. This is only the beginning. Now let’s go get that license and keep stacking victories one step at a time. We are proud of you.

Sorry for the do not copy people steal others hard work ... SMH....
Congratulations to Josh on absolutely kicking butt in recovery and training! This is what REAL recovery looks like — getting into a safe sober living home, staying focused, showing up every single day, and building a future one step at a time.
Not only have you accomplished getting a job, but you also started welding school and have already completed classes and earned certifications along the way. That takes dedication, hard work, and determination.
We are beyond proud of all the accomplishments you are achieving and the man you are becoming. Your recovery is proof that change is possible when you put in the work and refuse to give up. Keep pushing forward Josh — your future is bright and we can’t wait to watch you continue to succeed. 🔥💪

9 long years… and today Brian finally got his driver’s license back! 🚗👏
In just 9 months and some change, Brian stayed focused, worked hard, saved his money, and pushed through every obstacle to make this happen. This is proof that when you stay determined and keep showing up for yourself, amazing things can happen.
Way to go, Brian! We are so very proud of you and all the hard work you’ve put in. Keep thriving, keep growing, and keep proving to yourself that your past does not define your future. One more huge step forward! 💙
