Dr. Chris McNeil was appointed to the Union School Board in 2021 and currently holds the Zone 2 seat. McNeil has proven to be an asset to the board and the best option to fulfill another 5 years with a focus on direct mentorship, improved representation, intentional student enrichment activities/programs, and increased access to health career pathways for students. Known to most of his students as Coach McNeil, Chris helped coach the Union Varsity wrestling program from 2013-2016. Chris also enjoys volunteering in classrooms throughout the district to peak students' interests and growth in health literacy, showcasing his passion for science, health, and medicine. In the community, Chris finds great joy in volunteering at Iron Gate, Brightspot Mobile, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and while also mentoring young aspiring physicians through Black Men in White Coats. Chris and his wife Jessica have been married for almost 9 years after meeting at Oklahoma State University in 2010. At OSU, Chris obtained his Bachelors in Biology, Microbiology and a minor in Psychology (2012), and his Masters in Business Entrepreneurship (2013). In May 2021, Chris graduated with his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from OSU-CHS. They have two children, Moses (4), a PreK student at Union, and Madison (3). She and her parents have been residents of the Zone 2 neighborhood for 30 years. The McNeil family are members of LifeChurch Broken Arrow and consistent supporters of Athletes in Action (a CRU ministry).
