As another wonderful school year comes to a close, I want to thank our incredible students, staff, families, and community for making this year such a success.

Together, we celebrated achievements, overcame challenges, created lasting memories, and watched our students grow academically, socially, and personally. I am so proud of everything we have accomplished as a school family.

To our students: enjoy every moment of your summer break. Rest, have fun, stay safe, and make great memories with family and friends. You have earned it!

To our families and staff: thank you for your continued support, dedication, and partnership throughout the year.

What’s more fun than ending the year with a little competitive game of kickball?

Year two of staff vs 5th grade kickball game tradition is officially in the books.

I don’t know how many times I can say this but, man I am going to miss this group of 5th graders!!

My favorite thing to do is celebrate students when they complete their MAP testing. The end of the school year was hard! Especially for our 3rd-5th graders ; they had so many assessments. But seeing the results and their hard work paid off, made it all worth it. During our final few days of school, Dr. Chunu and myself got to award hundreds of prizes to our kindergarten through 5th graders for their growth and proficiency in both map, reading and map ELA on their end of the year benchmarks. Shout out to all McKinley students and their teachers as well for their hard work and growth this year! (not pictured kindergarten - with all the excitement I forgot a photo 😩)

McKinley was named a “School of Excellence” from Imagine Learning for being one of the top schools for engagement on the platform in the country. We also received the district trophy for #1 engagement in the district. This is what happens when a dedicated team works together. We are heading to the top!!

Congratulations to our 5th graders on their promotion! We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments this year.

As they transition to middle school, we wish them the best of luck on their new adventures. Keep reaching for the stars!

What an amazing Field Day! Even though we had to move everything indoors, the spirit and energy were unstoppable.
