Madeleine Gant was one of two students to receive the Outstanding Dual Enrollment Student Award at the Academic Honors Reception held on the Smyrna Campus on May 1st.

What makes Madeleine even more outstanding is that she is a Riverside Christian Homeschool student who pursued an associate’s degree while still in high school.

During her time at Motlow, she was actively involved in the Fayetteville Campus Student Government Association as the secretary. She was also a member of Leadership Lincoln Student Advisory Board.

Madeleine officially graduated from Motlow with an Associate of Science degree in General Studies on May 11th.

She is pictured with her DE Regional Program Manager, Lisa Campbell, who works with all homeschooled students.

If you are, or someone you know is, a homeschool student interested in Dual Enrollment or Middle College, please email or call Lisa.

Monday was more than a graduation ceremony. It was the result of years of sacrifice, determination, late nights, early mornings and students refusing to settle for less than their dreams.

Over 140 dual enrollment students walked across the floor having already earned their associate degree before even receiving their high school diploma.

Many of these students balanced college coursework, high school responsibilities, jobs, athletics, family obligations, and the everyday challenges that come with being a teenager. And somehow, they still accomplished something extraordinary.

So much potential. So much hard work. So many lives already changed forever. This is why dual enrollment matters. This is why opportunities matter.

Congratulations to all our graduates. We could not be more proud of you 🧑‍🎓
