We rededicated “Kate’s Corner” in our library today in memory of former Bel-Aire teacher Mrs. Kate Bratcher with the help of many former and current .

To round out Teacher Appreciation week, our wonderful Bel-Aire Elementary School PTO helped get us summer ready with a beach towel for everyone. Ms. Morgan and Ms. Rhea were the winners of Amazon gift cards today. The teachers and staff at Bel-Aire are extremely thankful to our PTO, local businesses, parents, and students for making this week special!!

A huge thank you Steve “Paco” Prince from Farm Bureau Insurance Tullahoma for Chick-fil-A Tullahoma breakfast this morning. The day got a little sweeter with our Bel-Aire Elementary School PTO providing ice cream from The Ice Cream Distillery.

Our spring book fair is scheduled to run next week April 4th to April 8th during school hours (the shop will remain open on Wednesday til 3:00).

The spring book fair is a Buy One Get One sale, so get your shopping lists ready! Our book fair will also be offering eWallet, a safe and secure alternative to cash. Our Walk-a-thon is just around the corner on October 15th! Be on the lookout for our event information being sent home with your student this week. We will celebrate our school spirit week when we return from fall break. See the information below for details!

Every Friday, wear you wildcat gear to support our Wildcat football team! Players and cheerleaders will be at the hive to welcome students this Friday! 🏈

The deadline to receive sponsorships for our school Walk-a-Thon has been extended until Monday, September 27th. This extension will still allow for business names and logos to be added to the Bel-Aire walk-a-thon shirts as well as to the other incentives offered for the sponsorship levels. The sponsorship levels are as follows:

Sliver = $200
Gold = $350
Platinum = $500
Diamond = $1000

Please let us know if you need additional sponsor packets or if you need them sent digitally. Feel free to contact us for more information.

9/21/21 - A walk-a-thon planning committee meeting is scheduled for this Tuesday at 6:00 pm in the school cafeteria. If you’ve joined one of the committees or want to help with planning, please come on out to the meeting.

9/22/21 - Business Sponsorships are due. Please send them in your with your kiddos or have the businesses send them in.

9/27/21 - Parent/family walk-a-thon shirt orders are due. Please send your orders with check or cash with your kiddo to school.

We are making a small change to the PTO meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow night (9/14/21). The meeting is being moved to Tuesday, September 21st at 6:00pm, and instead of being a general assembly meeting, it will become a Walk-a-Thon Committee meeting for all of those that are on committees for the walk-a-thon.

We are excited to return to in-person learning for the 2021-2022 school year. There are several factors at play that will result in TCS adopting a “new” normal meal service. Return to in-person learning, universal free meals, serving 90% of our population coupled with unprecedented nationwide issues with the supply chain has resulted in menu changes with little or no notice.

We are working very closely with our distributors to secure both the food and supply items needed to support our department. However, the availability of these items is ever-changing and without notice.

While it is our intention to serve all the menu options each day at every school, supply issues will not make this possible throughout this school year until the supply chain disruption is remedied.

When changes to the menu become necessary, we will attempt to substitute the featured menu items, to the extent feasible, based on the products we are able to retain.

We will continue to communicate at the Pk-5 level daily with available entree items based on what we receive. This communication is to ensure students are aware of their main choices and the ability to continue pre-ordering prior to lunch service each day.

The number of offerings and variety we have at the middle and high school levels will undoubtedly lessen, but rest assured we will continue striving to provide variety in our offerings based on the availability of products.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during these trying times. Please know we will continue to uphold the utmost quality and preparation of all foods served, regardless if they are our preferred menu options or necessary substitutions.
