Ray's Montessori is the only Certified Montessori School in the Tullahoma area. Owner, Pat Maclanahan, and her teachers believe the early years are the most important in a child's development . It is this belief that has guided the school through almost 50 years of teaching children that learning can be fun.

Our Story

The Montessori School is the original Montessori school in the Tullahoma area. Owners Mary Lambeth Gomez and Bita Jordan believe the early years are the most important in a child's development. They were trained by Pat Maclanahan, who opened the school in 1970 after being trained directly under some of Maria Montessori’s teachers directly. Learning can be fun and should be individualized to each child. In fact, some of the most innovative people credit a Montessori school to their way of thinking, including the creators of GOOGLE.
