🥒🫙 Fantastic Friday Fun Continues with 3rd Grade! 🫙🥒

Our 3rd grade Fantastic Friday was packed with another hands-on learning experience! 💛

👩‍🍳 Mrs. Kelly and her amazing cafeteria staff welcomed our students into the world of food preservation! Students learned how people have preserved fresh foods for generations and even got to learn the process of pickling okra! 🥒🫙✨

From garden 🌱 to jar 🫙, experiences like this help our students understand where their food comes from while learning practical, real-world skills they can carry with them for years to come! ❤️

A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Kelly and our wonderful cafeteria staff for sharing their time, knowledge, and talents with our students! 👏👩‍🍳🥒

🍂🎃 Fantastic Friday Fun with 3rd Grade! 🎃💻

Our 3rd graders had a Fantastic Friday filled with learning, digital safety, hands-on experiences, and a little preparation for the fair! 🤩🐾

💻🔐 Connie Sekulich with Coffee County Schools joined us to teach students about digital safety! Students learned important tips for making smart choices online, protecting their personal information, and being responsible digital citizens. 🌐🛡️

🎃🧽 Then it was time to get ready for the Coffee County Fair! Our students rolled up their sleeves and began preparing their pumpkin entries by giving them a good wash and getting them ready to shine! ✨🎃 We can’t wait to see Hickerson represented at the fair!

💙💛 We also want to give a special THANK YOU to Kearsten Caudill for lending a helping hand throughout our 3rd Grade Fantastic Friday! 🌟 Kearsten assisted our teachers and community partners, jumped in wherever she was needed, and helped everything run more smoothly. 🙌🐾

Fantastic Fridays truly take a team, and we are so thankful for the wonderful people who give their time and talents to create these meaningful, real-world learning experiences for our students! 🥰👏

Got to go see one of our students perform at Common John’s tonight! 🎶❤️ There’s nothing better than getting to support our students outside of school and seeing them shine doing something they love. So proud of you, Ellie! Keep doing great things! ⭐️

Mr. Avey is married and has three children ❤️. He enjoys 🎸 playing the guitar, 🎶🎤 going to concerts, and 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 spending time with his family.

🍎🦅 Meet Betty Ann Fletcher, one of the wonderful faces in our Fifth Grade hallway! 🦅🍎

Mrs. Fletcher is currently serving as an interim Fifth Grade teacher for Mr. Avey, and we are so thankful to have her as part of our Hickerson team! 📚✏️💛She has stepped right in to help our Fifth Grade Hawks continue learning, growing, and soaring! 🌟🦅

When she’s not in the classroom, Mrs. Fletcher loves 🏷️ hunting for treasures at yard sales, 🕰️ browsing antique stores, 🎳 bowling, and ❤️ spending time with her family!

You never know what hidden treasure she might discover on one of her shopping adventures! 🛍️✨

We appreciate Mrs. Fletcher for jumping in and being there for our students and our Hickerson family! 💛 We’re so happy to have her with us! 🦅🥰

⛳📸 Meet Justus Turner, one of our fabulous Fifth Grade teachers! 🦅📚

Ms. Turner spends her days helping our oldest Hawks learn, grow, and prepare to SOAR into their next big adventure! ✏️🌟 Fifth Grade is an exciting year filled with new challenges, leadership opportunities, and plenty of memories along the way! 💛

When she’s not busy teaching, Miss Turner enjoys ⛳ golfing, 📸 photography, and 🐶❤️ hanging out with her dog!

Whether she’s on the golf course, capturing the perfect photo, or relaxing with her four-legged friend, Ms. Turner knows how to enjoy her time outside the classroom! 😊✨

🎶🍎 Meet Jess Hawthorne, one of our fantastic Fourth Grade teachers! 🦅📚

Mrs. Hawthorne spends her days helping our Fourth Grade Hawks learn, grow, and take on new challenges! ✏️🌟 We’re thankful for the energy and creativity she brings to her classroom each day. 💛

🧗‍♂️🦅 Meet Nathan Estus, one of our awesome Fourth Grade teachers! 🦅📚

Mr. Estus spends his days helping our Fourth Grade Hawks tackle new challenges, build confidence, and reach new heights in their learning! 📚✏️🌟

When he’s not in the classroom, Mr. Estus enjoys 🧗‍♂️ rock climbing and 🥍 lacrosse. But after all that activity, he also appreciates a well-earned 💤🐶 nap with his dog! We think his pup probably approves of that hobby, too! 😂❤️

Whether he’s climbing a rock wall, on the lacrosse field, or helping his students conquer a challenge in the classroom, Mr. Estus is always up for an adventure! 💪🦅
