No library card? No problem! 1st library card is FREE for Swisher County residents! Requirements to obtain a Swisher County Library Card:

ADULTS: Bring in your ID/driver’s license with your CURRENT ADDRESS AND ONE BILL (utility bill, bank statement, rental agreement, tax letter, vehicle registration, insurance/Medicaid/Medicare, DHHS paperwork, paystub) with YOUR name and current address! If your current address is not on your ID/DL, please bring in two bills from the suggested list. LEGAL GUARDIAN/PARENT INFORMATION IS REQUIRED for children to obtain a card.

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT – CUSTODIAN

Swisher County is accepting applications for the position of Custodian. This is a full-time position, with a maximum of 40 hours per week, and includes employee health insurance and retirement benefits. The anticipated start date is September 14, 2026.

There will be a JOB FAIR TOMORROW, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, FROM 10 AM - 4 PM at the Swisher County Memorial Building for International Aerospace Coatings . Pay ranges from $17.00 to $27.50 per hour, and TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE!

Workforce Solutions Panhandle is facilitating this, so make sure you come out and learn more!

We FINALLY have compiled our final Unearth a Story Summer Reading 2026 numbers!

Happy Little Creations also blessed us with some great 3d printed items! Thank you, Kaitlyn and Andrew Moritz, for also supporting our summer reading prize collection! We are so thankful for your participation and donatations!

Also, we want to say thank you again to Pizza Hut- Tulia, TX and for donating food for a few of our programs! We love our Swisher County businesses and residents, and we know they do too!

Also, thank you to the Swisher County Senior Citizens building for allowing us to rent space for our ages 5-10 program! We really appreciate it!
