Dear Families,

Last year, our school made incredible progress, and we are excited to keep that momentum going! To ensure every child gets the most out of their learning experience, daily and punctual attendance is essential.

Attendance Goals & Guidelines

90% Attendance Rule: To earn credit toward advancing to the next grade level, students must maintain at least 90% attendance throughout the school year.

School Hours: School begins at 7:45 AM.

Tardy Check-In: Students arriving after 8:00 AM are marked tardy. If your child arrives late, please es**rt them inside to check in—our new system requires a quick scan of your ID.

Full Days Count: Arriving late or leaving early means missing valuable instructional time. Please try to schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.

If your child's attendance drops below 90%, we will reach out with makeup opportunities (such as Saturday School) to help keep them on track for grade advancement.

We are excited to officially launch SWARM, our new schoolwide behavior expectations. We are committed to helping our students grow into responsible, respectful and successful learners. Our Stingers are ready to SWARM!

What a Great Start to the Week!
Parents, thank you for helping us have such a smooth arrival this morning! We appreciate your support as we work together to make mornings run safely and efficiently.

Here are a few helpful reminders:

🍎 Breakfast: Served from 7:25–7:55 a.m.
🏫 Not eating breakfast? Students should report to the Small Gym.
📣 Morning Assembly: Begins at 7:50 a.m. in the Small Gym.
⏰ Tardy: Students must be in their classroom by 8:00 a.m.
📝 Arriving at 8:00 a.m. or later: A parent must check the student in through the front office.

A Special Note for Our Younger Learners

We’ve noticed that students tend to have a smoother and more successful start to their day when they are able to enter the building independently and transition directly to their classroom. While we love having parents involved and appreciate your support, a quick, positive goodbye at the door can help children feel confident, independent, and ready to learn. We encourage families to establish a consistent morning routine that allows students to enter school calmly and begin their day on their own.

Parents, thank you so much for a great first week Back to School! As many of you have noticed, we have a new security check point and accountability system in our Elementary Office. This helps us to continue providing the safest environment possible for our students. With that in mind, we need your help in two critical areas.

1. If you are ever wanting to come to the school and visit with anyone or perhaps have lunch with your child, you MUST have a valid I.D. We are not permitted to allow you access without it.

2. Beginning Monday the 17th, if students arrive at school after 8:00, a parent must es**rt them to the elementary office to assist with checking them in. Our new system requires that a Parent I.D. must be presented for student check in if a child is tardy to school.

MORNING ARRIVAL
7:15-7:45 Cafeteria door open for students to enter
7:15-8:00 Front door open for students to enter

Students who arrive after 8:00 a.m. are considered tardy and must be checked in by a parent or guardian at the front office.
Our new check-in system requires parents/guardians to use their ID to check in their student. If your child arrives after 8:00 a.m., please be sure to bring your ID with you when you walk them into the office.
Reminder-breakfast is served from 7:25-7:55.

Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students will be dismissed from the cafeteria door at the east parking lot. Siblings of PreK and K students will also be dismissed from this location.
1st-5th grade students will be dismissed from the front of the school.
