It’s senior recital time! Please join us in celebrating Lizzie and Ellise as they sing some of their favorite songs from the past few years in the studio. They are both extremely talented singers and you’ll be glad you came! Meadow Springs Community Church this Friday July 5 at 7:00 pm.

We talk about this often—your true voice is your best voice!

I used to think I had to sing the song just like the recording artist, and in the original recorded key... until I realized... my voice is DIFFERENT than theirs! Sometimes choosing a different key, a different tone quality to sing with, or a different song arrangement... is absolutely the best choice, and it DOESN'T mean your voice is "sub-par"! Focusing on your strengths (making the best choice for YOUR voice!) will get you way further than focusing on your weaknesses.

‘Tis the season 🎄. We had a fun time last night—caroling, food, singing Christmas solos and exchanging gifts. I love these girls!

Fall lessons begin this week! There are a few open spots, so If you would like to return to the studio or take voice lessons for the first time, send me a message and I'll send some information or find an open spot that works for you. I'm really excited to open the studio again after over two months. If you would like to start or resume lessons, send me a message--I will be teaching beginning June 1 and through the summer. Looking forward to creating beautiful music with you!!

As you can imagine, the joy of working with students during this uncertain time has come to a halt for those of us who have the privilege of teaching one on one in our homes and studios. Because of this, I am exploring ways to continue teaching and spending time with students individually on-line. If you would be interested in either continuing lessons or beginning them while we are all doing our part to 'socially distance' ourselves, please contact me privately (or comment here) and I will be in touch as I work out the details.

Audition time for all the fall shows is just around the corner. If you are planning to schedule audition or show prep or need audition/rehearsal tracks, I'll be available July 24-August 24!

Saturday’s student recital was a beautiful end to the latest season of voice. Congratulations to Tessa, Owen and Sara for your student achievement awards! Song is one of God’s best gifts, no question.
