Here’s a polished, reel-ready caption with a strong hook and smoother flow:
Our 5th graders wrapped up their Solar System unit in the sweetest way 🍦✨
Working in pairs, students researched a planet or another solar system element—like the locally famous Willamette Meteorite—then transformed their learning into creative ice cream flavors inspired by their topic.
Every ingredient had a purpose, backed by research and thoughtful justification. They even brought their ideas to life with watercolor designs 🎨
The best part? We taste-tested, refined our recipes, and then wrote persuasive letters to Salt & Straw using ethos, pathos, and logos to pitch our creations.
, will you partner with us to launch our “Solar System Series”? 🚀
With hope (and great taste),

students came for an afternoon visit in Miss Reid’s class to give feedback on essays. Her former students come and visit every chance they get and they were a huge help in developing our middle school writers as they prepare for high school.

PreK students loved learning about fluorescing rocks! These minerals, which look like ordinary rocks in natural light, glow in neon hues when viewed under longwave UV light. Science is awe-inspiring!
