Students jumped right back into hands-on learning last week:

🌱 Kindergarten planted seeds
🎉 1st grade celebrated the 120th day
🌳 2nd grade hosted an arborist
🦦 3rd–5th learned about saving sea otters
⚙️ 4th grade explored force and motion

Our 5th graders performed a Midsummer Night’s Dream skit for our 2nd grade students, complete with handmade costumes and backdrops.

It takes courage to perform in front of an audience, and we’re proud of our students for embracing creativity, storytelling, and collaboration.

Learning comes alive when students take the stage! 🦊

Our school was full of excitement during Student-Led Conferences, where students shared their learning, goals, and progress with their families.

These moments build confidence, responsibility, and pride in their work, and we loved seeing families celebrate their learners.

👵👴 100 days smarter!

Our Kindergarten class celebrated the 100th day of school in style last Monday, dressed as grannies and grandpas!

From gray hair to glasses to walking canes, the creativity (and giggles) were everywhere.

100 days of learning, growing, and building community together.

Future Family Night Success 💚

What a night! 🦊✨

We welcomed 75 prospective families to Future Family Night last week!

Families toured with their MITCH Passport, met staff, PSO, and board members, and learned what makes MITCH special.

We’re so proud to share our school, and even prouder that we have a 98% return rate for next year!!

🦊✨ Our students were clapping along to a live cultural music performance this week!

We welcomed the Maido Mind Performance featuring traditional Japanese instruments, including the shinobue (flute).

Huge thank you to Kyoko Shinohara for connecting MITCH to these incredible musicians.

Experiences like this bring culture, joy, and global learning into our classrooms. 💛
