TJUHSD Academy Applications Are Now Open!!

Parents and students, now is the time to apply for one of the TJUHSD Academies. We proudly offer five Academies designed to support student interests, skills, and future goals:

AME – Arts, Media and Entertainment
AOE – Academy of Engineering
PSL – Public Services and Law
PMA – Pre-Medical Academy
TAM – Tulare Academy of Marketing

Applications are open now through December 18 at 5:00 p.m. This is a hard deadline, so please be sure to submit your application on time.
You may apply using the QR code, or by picking up a paper application at the District Office located at:

Today’s Freshman Academy Luncheon brought students and community partners together for an inspiring afternoon of collaboration and connection. A huge thank you to Dr. Ramon Resa, local pediatrician and author, for motivating our students with his incredible story.

We would also like to thank the Tulare Chamber of Commerce, the Agricultural Center, Ruiz Catering and our TJUHSD staff for helping make this event possible.

Today concluded our 3 day Academy Showcase event at Galaxy Theatres Tulare. Our Academy Counselors, teachers and students presented to approximately 1,500 incoming students from our feeder districts! Way to go Academies!! We are looking forward to all our incoming freshman next school year!! Academy applications are live on our website. SCICON is seeking a bright, talented young adult who wants to make a difference in the lives of students! An Outdoor Education Intern position is still available for the 2023-2024 school year, through June 7.

Interns become members of the SCICON instructional staff, helping with lessons, activities, and leadership development.

SCICON is the outdoor school of science and conservation operated by the Tulare County Office of Education. It is located on 1,100 acres above Springville. Thousands of fifth- and sixth-grade students visit the program for a one-day or week-long experience in outdoor education, natural science, and conservation. SCICON is a product of over 60 years of school and community collaboration.

The JOB FAIR was today at Tulare Fairgrounds. What an AWESOME day filled with AMAZING opportunities for our senior students!!! There were 20+ employers who came out ready to hire, interview and educate our students. GREAT JOB SENIORS!!!
