I hope everyone has been enjoying their Christmas holiday. As 2016 gets ready to roll out and 2017 rolls in the thought that comes to me is what a beautiful gift time is. We are given a chance to reflect over the past year the good, the bad, and take from it experiences we have grown from, learned from, and become better for having had them in our lives. The new year brings the gift of hope. Let us at this time as we reflect allow the not so greats of 2016 to remain with the year as it fades into history. Let us take the growth that we have gain and the best of 2016 and bring that with us into 2017 allowing it to be a year full of hope with the gift and oppertunity to develop ourselves into the best we can be and pass the light to those around us. My Scholars you are a gift and a blessing, make the most of everyday, learn from from every moment, and be a steadfast beacon.

Remember when things get stressfull what matters most. Building a child's character and self esteem up will bring out the best in a person which will lead to an inspired learner and in turn will create a scholar who will change those around them for the better and together they will magnify the beauty of goodness in the world.

Another school year is getting ready to start and we are so excited! We have made some much needed upgrades to our webpage www.hjgrant.com. Additionally we have added an instagram account to make it easier to share our homeschooling experiences with eachother. Finally we have a reviews tab on our page. Come meet new people, build a community, a network, make new friends, and share your ideas. Remember there are times when the success of homeschooling is having a wonderful group of friends or support group to get us through rough days.
