Congratulations to our recent graduate Sophia for getting into F.I.T. in NYC! She made this historical inspired gown as her independent study project with us and wore it to The Grand Masquerade Ball at the Chateau de Versailles.

In our Apparel and Construction III course students learn how to sew with more high end techniques and learn how to work with more difficult material like stripes/plaids and sheer fabrics. Take you sewing skills to the next level and register for FDC 211 now through MyPima!!

Our textiles class last semester welcome guest speaker and local designer Elena Bloom. They got to learn all about natural dyes and even got some hands on experience working with indigo dyes! Registration is currently open for FDC 245 Digital Fashion Design for the upcoming Fall semester. Some students have shown interest in the course but have hesitated to register out of concern that the class might not run. However, the best way to guarantee this course runs is to register now! 

Purpose of this course: Digital proficiency is no longer optional in fashion, it is a requirement. This course is specifically designed to give you hands-on experience with programs and workflows used by professional design houses. 

What you'll learn: Create technical flats, digital illustrations, and mood boards using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, and build professional tech packs in Excel. 

To make this class accessible to as many students as possible, we are actively waiving prerequisites (Fashion Drawing and Apparel II) for the Fall semester. In our Textiles class students final projects is to upcycle a garment. This class has a heavy focus on sustainability. Registration for the FDC 126 Textiles course for the fall semester is open.
