Pete PADILLA Obituary
PADILLA, Pete Our brother, Pete, born March 4, 1959 died peacefully on December 27, 2017. Pete was preceded in death by our mother, Rosa Mejia Padilla. It's only fitting that he be the first to get to be with her. We always raced to reach her first for everything. Tu ganastes, Chimiro. Pete leaves behind his wife, Michelle; granddaughter, Abi; siblings, Angel, Gilbert (Lupita), Rick (Gloria), Nena (Kevin) Malaney and Raul; nieces and nephews, Raymond, Michael, Ricky, Manny, Rachael, Sabrina and great-nephew, RJ. Pete also leaves behind a multitude of cousins and close friends who were always just like family. We can't forget Spot and Mama, his kitties. He was our big brother and we loved him unconditionally as he did us. Pete was funny with a sense of humor that sometimes made us feel uncomfortable, but would definitely make us laugh. He would also be the first to point out that he taught us all about appreciating great music. It's true, his love of music certainly trickled down to all of us. We love you, big brother. We are so happy you found your happy place before leaving us. We can hear our mama say, "Ya llegastes, Mijo!", We'll miss you terribly but will be forever grateful to have had you in our lives. Pete's Celebration of Life will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2018 at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL, 7 E. University Blvd. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
