Today our Kindergarteners and 5th graders came full circle as they promoted, marking both a beginning and an ending in their journey at Carrillo. It was a beautiful celebration filled with families, joy, and well-earned pride.

With inspiring words from our Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Alvarez, and heartfelt messages from our teachers, the event was a meaningful way to close out the school year.

We are so proud of our students and all they have accomplished—once a Cougar, always a Cougar. 🎓✨

It was a pleasure to welcome these former Cougars back to campus for a visit to where their educational journey with TUSD started. Thank you, seniors, for visiting and for inspiring our young cougars! The Carrillo Community wishes you all a happy graduation and success in your futures!

Friday was Magnet Monday in action as our 5th graders hosted their first National Parks Showcase! Students stepped into the role of park rangers, sharing detailed information about their chosen parks with families and guests. They created impressive posters, brochures, and even designed stamps to mark visitor “passports.” It was a wonderful and engaging way for students to showcase their learning and bring their studies to life.

Friday was one for the books at Carrillo! From Spirit Week’s Dress to Impress Day to our 3rd graders stepping into the world of business, the energy was unmatched. Students created their own products and used Cougar Cash to buy and sell, bringing real-world learning to life in the best way. Such a fun and meaningful way to wrap up the week!

It's hard to believe it, this is the final update for the 2025-26 school year. Thank you all for another incredible year. From the entire Carrillo staff, we wish all our community families a restful summer break!
