Reminder to all 8th grade families: The 8th grade promotion is upon us! We need your help to remember that the goal is to make positive memories. Please leave blow horns, balloons, inflatables, or large posters at home (simple flower bouquets are ok). Any items that may obstruct the view of another person will be asked to be left in your vehicles. Also, for safety reasons, we highly recommend that anyone with heat sensitivities exercise caution. If there isn't enough room in the gym, there is no overflow seating at Desert View, and tomorrow it will be a very hot afternoon. Bleachers will be completely filled. It’s our annual end of year 8th grade trip! This fabulous group of students are off to Universal Studios in California! We wish them well and we can’t wait to hear all about it when they return!

Congratulations to our Gallego Intermediate 2026 District Champions. We are so proud of you boys for being part of this great program. With last night’s defeat over Sierra 14-3 you have finished 10 wins and no loses. For some of you boys you have now gone 30-0. 3 straight seasons without losing. Great job boys! This has also set Gallego Baseball as an elite program with 6 district titles in 9 years of district play. Logan Martinez pitched a great game and Aaron Garza went 2 for 2 with a double, a triple, 2 RBIs, a walk and scored the game ending run.

Today we honored and celebrated Mrs. Ross for her dedication and service to our school and community. Mrs. Ross, your devotion and hard work truly made an impact in the lives of many. You deserve the best retirement ever! Enjoy this new journey of life.
