STRENGTHENING SCHOOL SAFETY: MUSD is expanding its School Safety Officer (SSO) program, thanks to a $2.4 million grant from the Arizona Dept. of Education. The program provides an off-duty police officer on 10 additional school campuses, and this year, the majority – 16 of 19 MUSD K-12 schools, will have a dedicated police presence on campus.
ADE considered the successful partnership of 10+ years with the Town of Marana, the Marana Police Department, and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, that has helped increase the safety and security of campuses with the presence of School Resource Officers (SROs), school counselors, and social workers.

A huge thank you to our friends at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church for their generous gift of morning goodies for our staff members. What a wonderful way to celebrate a awesome first week of school! Thank you!

At Butterfield, building relationships comes first, and Mr. Tidwell and Mrs. Dunn proved it by joining Miss Leonard’s 4th Graders in a fun game of Pie Face!
We love seeing our admin laugh, play, and make memories with students, showing that great leadership sometimes comes with a face full of whipped cream and a room full of laughs! ❤️🐾
We’re lucky to have such fun, welcoming administrators.

Any one of our Butterfield families recognize this cutie. She is clearly someone's puppers. She was walking down Massingale. We have her safe, but cannot keep her all day.
