The biggest leadership gap in 2025? A systems lens.

Leadership today means navigating complexity, uncertainty, and ripple effects you can’t always predict.

Systems-Led Leadership is a new online workshop series with Daniela Papi-Thornton, educator, facilitator, and author whose work centers on helping leaders see and understand systems more clearly.

Daniela has taught at Oxford, Yale, and CU Boulder. She designed the widely used Impact Gaps Canvas and launched Map the System, now running at 50+ institutions worldwide.

Over five sessions (plus a 1:1 coaching session), participants will explore practical systems and social innovation tools while reflecting on how to apply them in their own leadership.

What is Systems Thinking? Systems thinking is a practice that helps us better understand a system’s structure so we can think more deeply about the actions that will help produce our desired results. In this eight-hour course, we will define a system, think about our own thinking, and dive deeply into the Habits of a Systems Thinker to establish a foundational ability to apply systems thinking. This is a virtual offering; however, participants should be prepared for 8-hours of active engagement with cameras and microphones on, pen and paper handy, and a genuine curiosity to see the world in a whole new way.
