Individual Skills Clinics in December

Thank you for your support of the David Rubio Clinics.

Open to BOYS & GIRLS in 8th Grade or younger, per the NCAA “dead period” rules for Coach Rubio.

December 13th, December 20th, and December 27th.

There will be two separate sessions per date. 9:30a-10:30a & 11a-12p

9:30-10:30 Setting & Hitting
11:00- Noon Games and competition

We will train the two positions separately during the first hour. We will separate the older and more advanced players from the beginners. At some point in that session we will combine the two positions. The games and competition will be a series of different games and competitions. We will start out with small numbers on each side gradually working up the number of players per side. David Rubio the Head Volleyball Coach at the University of Arizona will host and conduct the clinic along with his coaching staff.

The cost per session is $30. Payable by Cash or Check at check-in.

David Rubio will personally instruct and break down each skill for each session. The session highlighted skill will be broken down and taught by progression.

The second session on November 15th will provide a competitive opportunity for players to play with players at their like skill level. The teams will consist of two, three or four players. It will be one hour of competition with coaches providing feedback during the play.

We are all wearing masks. Period. Pick one that is the easiest for you to breathe and be active.

The SCC agreed to this rule, among others, in order to be able to operate. They are a non-essential business that is obligated to operate under the Arizona Department of Health Services guidelines as well as the Pima County Health Department regulations in order to stay open. They are not going to risk being fined or closed by the county or state for us.

You are allowed to bring water with you. Please nothing else, sticky or colored.

APV is excited to offer a unique opportunity with our pre-tryout clinic featuring University of Arizona Coach, David Rubio. All of the necessary information can be found on the attached form. The goal of this clinic is to give boys and girls an opportunity to tune up their skills and prepare themselves for their high school and club try outs starting in the fall.
