I am adding information to the page as clarity about what this is all about emerges.

Sport is stepping up, has stepped up, to bring his own unique way of being Horse Yoga teacher. Although well taught by his now retired teacher, Ichobod, and The Dude, he is his own teacher.

And is sometimes a bit of a flirt.

This was the year I said goodbye to my good friend and teacher, Gary, aka The Dude. I didn't know him as long as some of my other teachers, but his Old Soul touched me deeply.

He was a glorious curmudgeon who taught impeccably right up through his waning days (and into the present moment if truth be told).

Yes, that's him, teaching the Deep Walk in the profile pic.

This year we are doing stockings for fun. It seems a theme, a meme. And this year one of the Year of the Horse talismans I channeled deemed itself to be an avatar of Sleipnir. This was a myth I never knew, and now I do, and we share with you.

A fun Pagan tradition for your children!
According to some scholars children would place their boots, filled with carrots, straw, or sugar, near the chimney for Odin's flying horse, Sleipnir, to eat. Odin would then reward those children for their kindness by replacing Sleipnir's food with gifts or candy. This practice survived in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands after the adoption of Christianity and became associated with Saint Nicholas as a result of the process of Christianization and can be still seen in the modern practice of the hanging of stockings at the chimney in some homes.

There is an idea of yoga. What do you imagine might be a horse's idea of yoga?

We are about to find out with the Lipizzans of Dancing Horse Farm with Judith Tarr and friends...

Hello Tammy. Desert Horse Yoga is re-organizing itself (trying to figure out how to best be here on FB?!).

I am trying to decide how to consolidate FB efforts with my personal page, Desert Horse Yoga and Desert Horse Institute. Modern days are so vata-deranging.

Desert Horse Yoga is setting up yoga classes at River Valley Ranch (RVR) now and we can do one at your facility too. Two RVR classes are already closed, because we keep the on-going classes small and focused.

Today was our Gathering with the Gurus. Nice, quiet, and then Gary got all up into his bad self so as to impress the new Babe of the Barn - that very pretty young paint mare. That Ginger mare looks mighty and sassy, but boys are beneath her. When G finally got back into his stall - it was Drink from Ms.B's bucket time. I think she just indulges this flirty stuff from her man.
