UA Students for Sustainability: UA Community Garden It is located on the corner of Mabel St. and Highland Avenue, on the north side of the Highland garage.
The UA Community Garden (UACG) is a space that is available for local and campus community members to grow and consume their own food. Founded by the Garden in the Desert (GITD) team and open for community use in the spring of 2012, the UA Community Garden will feature 42 sunken beds measuring 18x3 or 20x3 feet each. All beds have have drip tape irrigation and compost amended soil. Other features

The last Stories in the Garden of the semester was absolutely magical. With the theme of Remember your Roots, we heard stories, poems, and songs about best friends, mothers & how much they have taught us, where we've come from, where we're going, who we are, and what we stand for. We could not have asked for a more memorable night - thank you all for fostering this community & space as you always do. We are lucky to have your support and loving contribution & participation. Come on out to UA Earth Day Everyday!! We're on the mall until 2pm doing a seed ball workshop & partnering with Seed Library of Pima County Public Library to bring seeds to our community! Stop by for free seeds, free lessons in how to make a seed ball, and free fun!
