The University of Arizona is home to some of the most innovative, cross-cutting research in academia; it is a place of learning, discovery, collaboration and invention. Here, researchers are formulating new treatments for cancer, engineering better ways to harvest the energy of the sun, developing autonomous vehicles and helping the blind to see. Tech Launch Arizona creates real and lasting impact through bringing the inventions of the UA from the lab to the world. We build connections between the talents of our faculty and researchers and the experience of entrepreneurs and investors. We cultivate these conversations, fostering ideas that start in the lab, and grow into new products and thriving businesses that benefit society.

Seven months after launch, NASA’s Pandora mission is officially beginning its observations. 🔭

Led in mission operations by the University of Arizona, Pandora will study the atmospheres of at least 20 exoplanets; (revealing clues about clouds, hazes, water and the conditions of these distant worlds).

With a unique ability to observe planets and their host stars simultaneously in visible and infrared light, Pandora is opening a new window onto worlds beyond our solar system.
