One of our CFHS students, Evie, is on the road to recovery, and thereβs a sweet way for Tucson to rally around her. Swing by Chill N7 Nitrogen Ice Cream, mention βEvieβs Fundraiserβ when you order, and a portion of your purchase goes directly to support Evie and her family.
Grab a treat, spread the word, and letβs come together for one of our own. Every cup makes a difference.
Thank you, Foothills community, for the support of Evie and her family. π

π COMMUNITY SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM TRAFFIC UPDATE: Smooth Sailing for Drop-Off & Pick-Up! ππ¨
Want to breeze through the camp line like a pro? π To keep our campers safe and the line moving quickly, please take a look at our Catalina Foothills High School traffic flow map before Monday morning!
Here is everything you need to know to nail the routine:
πΊοΈ The Game Plan:
πΉ Enter & Exit: Always enter via the designated lane off E Sunrise Dr and exit through the main blue lane.
π’ Double Stack: The main driveway uses a One-Way Double Stack system (green arrows). Stay in line and keep it moving!
π The Zipper Merge: Cars will merge into 1 single lane right before the drop-off zone. Let's take turns nicely out there!
π¦ Curbside Only: Pull all the way forward along the blue dashed curb to drop off or pick up your camper.
πΆ Student Walkway: Kids will follow the yellow arrows safely along the walkway straight to the Camp Entrance (orange circle).
π No-Go Zones: Areas marked with red bars/X's (including the N Pontatoc Rd side exit) are completely closed to camp traffic.
π‘ Pro-Tips for Speed:
1οΈβ£ Have backpacks on and water bottles ready before you reach the curb.
2οΈβ£ Stay in your car! Our awesome staff will be out there guiding the kiddos safely to the doors.
3οΈβ£ Bring a little extra patience the first few days as everyone gets into the groove.
Let's work together to keep it safe and speedy! See you all Monday morning! βοΈπ

Strong results β and room to grow. Our personal device survey identified a few areas where we can do better: clearer guidance on smartwatches and wearable technology, better communication about emergency contact procedures during school hours, and continued focus on consistent implementation across all classrooms.
We hear you, and we're on it. Because we don't just want to hold the line, we want to keep getting better.

The numbers tell a powerful story about the Class of 2026. Eighty seniors carried a weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher through their sixth semester. As of last spring's exams, 136 had already earned AP Scholar recognition, roughly one in three seniors, and several earned the demanding AP Capstone Diploma. Forty-seven students dual-enrolled at the University of Arizona through our biotech and physics pathways, two were selected as KEYS research interns at the U of A BIO5 Institute, and eight biotech seniors brought home awards from the Southern Arizona Research, Science, and Engineering Fair. Eighty graduates earned the Arizona Seal of Biliteracy across ten different languages, and eleven earned the Seal of Arts Proficiency.

With phones off and away, CFSD teachers are seeing the difference in their classrooms.
At the elementary level, 100% of responding teachers feel positive about the policy.
Middle school teachers reported the strongest gains of any group. Seventy-one percent say student-to-student interactions have improved, and 61% report increased instructional focus.
High school teachers agree: 83% report improved student interactions, and 83% say the benefits outweigh the challenges. More presence. More connection. More learning. π©βπ«

When we asked CFSD students about the "Off and Away for the Day" expectation, here's what they told us: 96.8% of elementary students say the rule is easy to follow.
At the middle school level, 38.6% say it's easier to pay attention in class, and 25% report more face-to-face interaction with friends.
At the high school level, 66% agree that the current expectations are reasonable, and compliance is high.
Students get it. And many are finding real benefits. π
