Back to School Night is TOMORROW August 7th at 6:00 PM!

The evening will begin with a brief opening assembly in the Church Auditorium. Following the assembly, families will be dismissed to their children's classrooms.

Back to School Night is an important part of launching a successful school year, and we ask that every family make attendance a priority.

🌟Meet Alayna Traynor, our 1st Grade Teacher's Aide

Alayna is excited to be starting my second year at Tucson Baptist Academy as a teacher’s aide, where she primarily assists in the first-grade classroom. She is currently working towards her teaching degree online through Veritas Baptist College, and she loves gaining hands-on experience while preparing for her own classroom someday.

🌟Meet Ravin Ennis, our Electives & Aftercare Teacher!

The students at TBA call me Ms. Raven or sometimes Ms. Rae. This is my fifth year with Tucson Baptist Academy.

Some interesting facts about me:

🌍I'm originally from Hampton, Virginia, but because my dad served in the Army, I'm a true Army brat (I've lived in FT. Dix New Jersey, Ft. Clayton Panama, Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland, Ft. Bragg North Carolina, New Baltimore, Michigan; Giessen, Germany; Hanau, Germany; and Stafford, Virginia.)
This means I've attended five elementary schools, three middle schools and One High School!
🏔️Also while living in Germany I had the chance to hike across the Swiss Alps.

🧑‍🧒‍🧒I have a younger sister who is 9 1/2 years younger than me. I have 2 adult children.

👐I learned to speak 2 languages: German and Sign Language.

🎼 While in school I studied Classical music for singing, along with theater and dance.

🏃‍♀️‍➡️I was also very involved with sports especially with Track and Field and Cross Country.

🌻My favorites are the Dandelion, Sunflower, and Edelweiss.

What I love most about teaching here is watching our students grow. What I hope for this school is to grow and learn new things with our students and for them to feel inspired!

🌟Meet Monica Fridrich, our Upper School English Teacher!

Monica has been teaching a total of six years and will be entering her third year teaching at Tucson Baptist Academy.

👯‍♀️👯‍♀️She is also the youngest of five kids in total and the last born of quadruplets!

🌟Meet Savannah Polan, our Upper School Science Teacher!

Savannah Polan has been at Tucson Baptist Academy for two years now, and has been teaching for twelve years all together.

🧩An interesting fact about Savannah is that she enjoys solving puzzles including jigsaw puzzles and word & number puzzles!

What she enjoys about teaching at Tucson Baptist Academy is how positive the campus is.

🌟Meet Jenn Perry, our Upper School History Teacher!

Hi! I'm Jenn Perry, and I teach History for grades 7–12 at Tucson Baptist Academy. This is my second full year at TBA, and I'm so excited for another school year!
I've been teaching for over 15 years, serving in a variety of roles including preschool director, elementary teacher, homeschool mom, and now high school teacher. Every stage has given me a deeper appreciation for the privilege of helping students learn and grow.

Outside the classroom, you'll usually find me:

🚴‍♀️out on my bike
❤️spending time with my favorite people-my husband and our three kids (I love hanging out with family and friends, and I'm always up for a good conversation over coffee.)

What I love most about TBA is partnering with families as they point their children to Christ. It is such a privilege to come alongside parents, encourage students, and work together to help each child grow into the person God has created them to be. I'm looking forward to another year of building relationships and watching God work in the lives of our students.

🌟Meet Karl Rech, our 7th-12th Grade Bible & Informal Logic Teacher!

Karl is entering his second year teaching part time here at Tucson Baptist Academy. He previously taught for eight years at Hammond Baptist Junior/Senior High School and two years at Grand View Christian Academy. Over the years he has taught P.E., Band, Remedial Math, Consumer Math and Logic. For relaxation Karl enjoys:

🌟Meet Tamina Abdukarimov, our 6th grade teacher

This will be Tamina's 3rd year teaching at Tucson Baptist Academy and has around fifteen years of teaching experience all together. Her native language is Russian, but she can also speak Uzbek and some German. Tamina loves:

She believes that teaching at our school is her calling and something God wants her to do! She loves Tucson Baptist Academy for being faithful to the Lord and seeking to do His will as well as teaching the classical curriculum that sets high standards for the students, and contributes into building a lifelong character.

🏰When I'm not at school, you'll most likely find me sailing away on a Disney Cruise or making magical memories at Disney. I'm a huge Disney fan!

🔁And here's a fun fact that always surprises my students: I can say the alphabet backward just as fast as I can say it forward!
