TCDS A and B flag football opened their season at Leman Central today. A team dropped their opener 12-0. B team came out on top with a 20-0 win. Ryker had two touchdown receptions, and Grayson had a pick six to round out the scoring. TCDS A team hosts Pusch Ridge at 4:00 Wednesday, with B team hosting AOT afterwards.

TCDS is looking for a B girls volleyball coach. The season runs from August 22nd through October 21st. Practices are 3:30-5:30 Monday through Thursday, with games played at either 4:00 or 5:00 during the week. We are looking for someone with volleyball experience who is enthusiastic, positive and either has or can apply for a fingerprint clearance card. Thank you parents and student athletes for a fantastic return to sports this year! Congratulations to all our student athletes for ask they accomplished this past year. And a special congratulations to Richard and Xiamara, our 2021-22 student athletes of the year!

The games might be over for the school year, but we still have one more opportunity to gather together and celebrate the accomplishments of our student athletes this year. The 2022 Athletics Banquet is next Tuesday, May 17th from 5:30-7:30. If you have not placed a food order yet, you can still do so at;

Food is $11 per person. There will be two types of chicken as well as a baked vegetable rigatoni as options for the main course. All teams will be recognized, and we will have some special awards to hand out as well. We look forward to celebrating our student athletes with all of you!

TCDS Boys basketball falls to Leman Marana in the semifinals, 36-28. The Champions battled hard throughout, but their comeback bid came up just short. Thank you to CoreCivic for their sponsorship this year! And a huge thank you to the 8th graders, Richard, Josh, Ryan, Robert, Jordan, Dimitry, Lance, Logan, Jesse and Addison for their hard work and dedication over the years! TCDS Boys basketball, sponsored by CoreCivic, advances to the semifinals with a victory over Leman East today. The boys will face second seeded Leman Marana on Thursday, May 5th at 5:00. The game will be played at Leman Oro Valley. Reminder, admission is $2 for adults and free for students. Good luck boys!!!

TCDS Girls basketball falls to Leman East in the first round of the playoffs. They played hard throughout the game and never quit. A big thank you to the 8th graders Madi, Xiamara, Annelise, Samiyah, Becky and Aria for their hard work and dedication through the years!

Basketball playoffs start today! Boys basketball hosts the winner of yesterday’s Leman East and AOT game at 4:00. The girls travel to Leman East for their 4:00 playoff game. Reminder, it is $2 for adults and free for students to attend playoff games. Admission collected goes to the costs of paying referees and trophies. Good luck Champions!!!

The TIAL basketball brackets are here! TCDS Girls Basketball finished the season in sixth place with an 2-5 record. They will play at Leman East on Tuesday, May 3rd at 4:00. TCDS A Boys basketball, sponsored by CoreCivic got back on track with a 38-8 win over AOT. They had a great team effort, with contributions from everyone who played. The boys will be back in action on Monday, April 11th when they make up the game with THS that was rained out.

TCDS A Girls basketball snapped a three game losing streak with a solid 31-5 win over AOT. Aniyah led the way with 13 points. Madi and Xia both chipped in 6. The A girls won’t be back in action again until Monday, April 25th when they travel to Desert Christian for the final game of the regular season.
