👟💚 Today, the generous members of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church treated several of our students to new shoes and socks from Kohl’s!

Our students were grateful, polite, and wonderful representatives of AMS. We are so proud of them!

🐼 Today, students in Mr. Burch’s class used basic shapes to create a panda! This practice is helping them develop essential skills they will use later in the design process for their own projects. We can’t wait to see what they create! 🎨

📚 Students in Ms. Lortie’s sixth-grade AVID class are learning about the AVID tutorial process! AVID helps students develop the academic skills and habits they need to succeed in school and beyond. During tutorials, students work in small groups to ask questions, collaborate, and support one another in solving challenging academic problems. Way to learn and grow together, Pirates! 🏴‍☠️💚

🎨📸 Students in Ms. Duran’s class were collaborating as they compared and contrasted modern-day selfies with historic self-portraits. What a creative way to connect the past with the present while building critical-thinking skills!

📚 Our students in Ms. Keller’s English language arts class were focused on mastering the vocabulary for their current unit of study. We’re especially proud that they continued working hard and staying on task while Ms. Keller was out and they were learning with a guest teacher. Way to show responsibility and keep learning, Pirates! 🏴‍☠️💚
