Learning looks different in every classroom, and that’s what makes our Pirates’ days so exciting! 💚⚓

In Mr. Burch’s Technology class, students worked together, collaborated, and got to know one another while building the teamwork and communication skills they’ll use all year long.

Next door, in Mrs. Rudd’s Art class, students explored what it means to be a Pirate through the eyes of an artist—using creativity to reflect on our school’s traditions, identity, and Pirate pride.

It’s been wonderful to see our students connecting, creating, and building a strong school community from day one!

Today was full of discovery in science! 🔬🌵

Our 6th and 7th grade students explored what it really means to be a scientist—asking questions, making observations, solving problems, and staying curious about the world around them.

Our 8th graders took a closer look at the amazing animals of the Sonoran Desert, including the legendary jaguar, El Jefe, whose rare presence reminds us just how unique and important our desert ecosystem is.

We love seeing our Pirates dive into hands-on learning and develop the curiosity that leads to great discoveries. ⚓💚

Day 1 is officially in the books, and what an incredible start to the school year! 🏴‍☠️💚

Today wasn’t just about schedules and classrooms—it was about our Pirate community. I saw returning students helping new classmates find their way, students showing kindness at lunch, and everyone taking pride in cleaning up after themselves. Those small acts say so much about who we are.

To all of our students: thank you for making our first day one to remember. Your kindness, respect, and willingness to help each other made me incredibly proud to be your principal.

I can’t wait to see what this school year has in store. See you tomorrow, Pirates!

🎉 What an incredible Open Campus! It was so much fun seeing so many smiling faces as students and families explored campus, found classrooms, and got ready for an amazing year ahead.

Now the countdown is over… tomorrow is the first day of school! 🏴‍☠️

Our staff is excited and ready to welcome our Pirates back. We’ll see everyone tomorrow morning at 8:10 a.m. Let’s make it a fantastic first day! 💚🖤

🏴‍☠️ Some things only get better with time.

Our beautiful campus has been a part of the Amphi community since 1939, and every building tells a story. Generations of students have learned, grown, and created lifelong memories within these historic walls. ❤️

This summer, our gym floor was beautifully refinished, preserving the character of our school while ensuring our gym can be enjoyed for many years to come.

A huge thank you to Amphitheater Public Schools for investing in the care and preservation of this historic building. We are incredibly fortunate to learn and work in a place with such a rich legacy, and we’re proud to continue writing the next chapter of its story.

Final registration and schedule pick up is this week 8:00 am-3:30pm. All students will have their photos taken for their student IDs.

Open campus is 8/4 from 4:00-6:00pm so kids can find their classes. Teachers will not be on campus. Please bring your schedule with you as we can’t print them at the open campus event.
