A HUGE shoutout to our amazing FFO and rockstar parent volunteers! 🎉

Thank you for rolling up your sleeves, hauling boxes, unpacking, answering questions, and making our Pick-Up & Unpack event run so smoothly. Because of your time, energy, and teamwork, our students and teachers get to kick off the school year feeling prepared and excited.

A special thank you as well for bringing in the mini donuts and fresh lemonade food truck—it was the perfect sweet treat after a busy day and such a fun surprise for our school community! 🍩🍋

It truly takes a village, and ours is pretty incredible! Thank you for showing up, pitching in, and helping make the start of the school year a success. We appreciate each and every one of you more than you know!

Now... who's ready for an amazing school year? 📚✨

Game Room Volunteers Needed During OGMS Lunches! 🏓 07/22/2026

We need your help monitoring the Game Room during lunch periods! Parent volunteers allow OGMS to open the fun (air-conditioned!) space in the Commons, where students have access to ping-pong, foosball, and giant Connect Four. When there are no volunteers, we can't open the Game Room!

The space holds a maximum of 24 students at a time, and there is a simple process for students to use their IDs to enter and exit during their lunch period.

It's a great chance to check in with your children and their friends while helping our teachers and staff supervise other areas of campus!

Thank you for your help!

‘Off and away’: phone ban enhances social and academic learning in Catalina Foothills classrooms - AZPM 06/19/2026

“We have kids keep them in their backpacks. For me, it’s important since students are responsible for their devices, I prefer that they are in the student’s possession,” Mr. Rubin-Toles says. “It’s the choices that they make that matter.”

We asked. You answered. More than 1,500 CFSD students, parents, and teachers shared their thoughts on our personal device expectations this year — and the results are in. This week, we're sharing what we heard. Spoiler: the data is encouraging. 📱➡️🎒
