The Student Independence Club (SIC) is a club dedicated to teaching its members how to become more financially dependent after college.
The club also includes networking influenced skills learned to help succeed in entrepreneurial endeavors.

SIC meeting tonight at 7 in the AZSO big study room. no officer meeting today
Hey Everyone I kinda have some bad news we have talked to a lot of people who have scheduling conflicts today at 6pm which was the time we scheduled for the meeting. Since we are trying to do elections we have decided to postpone the meeting until 7pm thursday, February 16th. It will be in the Big Study room on the first floor of AZSO again. Hopefully that is a better time for everyone! We are also working to start a group for the club so everyone will get the notifications about meetings and time changes. Thanks
one last thing guys...sorry ha- To register officially for this club online, please go to orgsync.com and click on register on the top right, you'll have to fill out some quick information, then you will have your own profile, when you do that, please like this post so i can add you to the SIC portal
here are the position descriptions:
President-The president runs each meeting, ensures all members are actively participating in the club, regulates officers positions and offers help when needed, presents topics and solutions reached in officer meeting to the all-member meeting, keeps contact with ASUA completing any forms needed.
• Vice President-Takes responsibilities of running meetings in the absence of the president, second checks president, regulates voting, In charge of assigning leaders for committees and dropping/adding committees as specific needs change
• Treasurer- creates semester budget, calculates dues necessary for budget, collects dues, pays any debt the club owes
• Social chair- In charge of social gatherings, networking opportunities and is head of social committee
•New member advocate- Finds new dedicated members intending to actively improve the SIC, also regulates the treatment towards new members ensuring that they are treated completely equal, If the new member advocate fails to punish members treating other members unequally, the officer will be taken out of office
-Secretary-Keeps track of minutes for the officer and all member meetings

The meeting will be in the big study room of az so on the 1st floor sonora side
Today at the meeting I will be proposing a business idea to start our clubs funds. If anyone has any ideas for a business (ideally with low startup costs) please bring information on it tonight.
Meeting tonight at 7 at AZSO...our advisor, economics professor Reff said he might show up. So please come.
