Every week highlights a star athlete as the MVP of the week. Students are chosen based on character, teamwork, effort, individual growth and excellence.

This week's is Devanshi.

Devanshi has been in our program for about two years, and it has been so awesome to see her grow into a strong and fierce athlete. She’s still very quiet, but she loves to talk and share stories when she gets excited. As she has grown, Devanshi has been pushing herself to do better. She's become more confident and even likes to help her friends with any techniques she's learned. Devanshi loves hanging out with her friends in class and playing group games. She said that her favorite sport is soccer and her favorite activity is "stealing the ball". She also said that loves "making hearts for our mother". Devanshi loves talking about her family and their activities they do together. She said, "The best sport ever [is] jump and high five in swimming class." We are so happy for Devanshi, and we are going to miss her as she heads off to kindergarten.

This week's is Lei'ja.

Lei'ja has been in our program for almost a month, and she has been absolutely crushing it! Every week she comes to class pumped and ready to learn and play! She loves playing group games and is a great team player. She likes learning new things and practicing them. Her favorite sport is basketball, and she loves "shooting in the hoop". She said, "[I like] gymnastics, socccer, basketball, and Disneyland. Puzzles. I love to do going on adventure. I wanna say my favorite food: noodles! They are beef!" We are excited to continue working with Lei'ja. We love having her in class!

We can't let the week end without saying a great big thank you to all of the incredible teachers that we have the pleasure of working alongside!

We'd like to give a special shout out to last week's MVP: Celina! 💥📢🎉

Celina has been in our program for almost two years, and it has been it pleasure to help her learn and grow. She started out so timid, but she has blossomed into a strong and confident athlete who is always smiling. She is kind and helpful to her teammates and absolutely loves working playing partner activities with her friends. She said that her favorite sport is volleyball, and she loves bumping and setting. She has been pushing herself so much lately, and she gets super excited when she excels at techniques she's been working on. Celina said that she also loves basketball, and her favorite thing about our program is "the game that we stole the basketball from people." She also wanted to add that she loves everything and all of our activities. We are so proud of Celina and how far she has come. Keep shining!

This week's is Isabella.

Isabella has been in our program for about two months, and she is definitely coming out of her shell. These last few weeks, she has been super excited to practice and she has been pushing herself during our activities. She had a blast practicing scoring goals. She said he favorite activity is "kick the ball," and her favorite sport we play is basketball. "You just shoot it in the basket," she said excitedly as she talked about how she was practicing shooting her basketball. She also said she loves soccer, volleyball, and fans. "It spins around, and [my] teacher taught me to art," she added. We are so proud of Isabella, and we are excited to continue working with her. Keep reaching for the stars!

This week's is Mason.

Mason has been in our program for about a year, and he always gets so excited to learn new things. He's very curious and loves to ask questions. He is competitive and pushes himself to do his best.
Mason said, "I kind of like volleyball. It's my favorite time when we play Squish the Bug. I like being the bug, dont I?" Yes he does! "My favorite part today what we did was two teams. [My favorite sport is] volleyball, because I like... hang on, it's that sport. I like that pass around and stuff," he added as he pointed to our basketballs. We are so proud of Mason and all the work he's been putting in. This week he crushed it, and we know he will continue to!

This week's is Jack.

Jack spent last summer with us, and he recently joined our program again about two months ago. He loves doing all our activities with his best friend. He's a little shy, but with his partner in crime, he comes out of his shell and gets excited to practice. He said that his favorite sport is basketball. He said, "I like when we had the ball fight. When Maddox was trying to catch him, and when we run and kick the [soccer] ball." Jack said that his favorite part our program is "when we get to throw the ball and kick it and bump it." Great job , buddy! We are so proud of you!

This week's is Sophie.

Sophie has been in our program since the beginning of the school year. She has always been quiet and shy, but she loves being silly and laughing. She is hesitant to get out there sometimes, and likes to observe a little before participating; but once she starts playing, she gets excited to see all that she can do. This week, she jumped right in during our basketball scrimmage and crushed it on defense. She had an absolute blast stealing the ball from the other team and scoring. Sophie said that her favorite sport is volleyball and she loves setting the ball. She also said that her favorite activity overall is dribbling the basketball. Sophie also wanted to add, "A book, a frozen one and a paw patrol one. Bugs." We love having Sophie in class and we are excited to continue helping her grow!

This week's is Lucy.

Lucy has been in our program for almost a year, and we've loved having her in class. Since her first day with us, she's always been her spunky little curious self. She loves asking questions and learning new things. She also gets excited when she tells stories and loves playing games and listening to music. This week Lucy was so excited to participate in our volleyball game. She encouraged her teammates and did a great job throughout the game. She definitely pushed herself this week, and it showed! "I like volleyball, because I got a MVP. I like how the net is like yellow, and I'm happy how I got a MVP," she said. We are also happy that Lucy was our MVP. Way to go!
