📣 Sunnyside High School Registration Information for the 2026-2027 School Year! 💙😈

The first day of school is quickly approaching, and we can’t wait to welcome our Blue Devils back to campus! Families, please remember that ALL students must complete online registration each year through PowerSchool before receiving their class schedule, laptop, or student ID.

✅ Complete registration online by Sunday, July 5, 2026 to qualify for a Fast Track Pass, which will be emailed to families with completed registrations.

🔹 Thursday, July 16 (7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
Incoming 9th Grade Students

🔹 Friday, July 17 (7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
Fast Track Pass Holders (assigned times based on last name)

🔹 Monday, July 20 (7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
10th Grade Students who have not completed registration by July 5

🔹 Tuesday, July 21 (7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

At Sunnyside High School, our students continue to show that passion, dedication, and hard work can turn dreams into reality.

Senior Daniel Estrada is making waves in Tucson's music scene as he launches the Daniel Estrada Orchestra, a 15-piece jazz big band featuring his original compositions. Inspired by jazz legends such as Duke Ellington, Daniel has spent countless hours honing his craft, writing music, and developing his leadership skills as both a musician and composer.

His orchestra will make its debut at The Century Room on Monday, marking an incredible milestone for a young artist with big dreams.

Daniel's Sunnyside band director, Christian Del Rosario, describes him as a student who is constantly working to improve not only himself, but those around him. Whether leading his section, composing music, or bringing talented musicians together, Daniel represents the very best of what it means to be a Blue Devil.

We are incredibly proud of Daniel and all of our students who are pursuing their passions, creating opportunities, and making an impact beyond our campus.

Looking for something exciting to do this summer? The AZ Cyber Initiative Intro to Cyber Bootcamp starts Monday, June 15 at Sunnyside High School, and there are still a few spots left!

This FREE one-week bootcamp is open to all students ages 14–18, regardless of which school they attend. Participants will explore the world of cybersecurity through hands-on activities and learn about topics such as:

Sunnyside High School is proud to celebrate a special moment for one of our own! 🎻

This past Sunday, Carlos Murguía was awarded a violin through the Tucson Elks. Carlos has been a crucial member of our ensemble, and we are incredibly proud of his growth, dedication, and accomplishments. We’re excited to see all that he’ll achieve with an instrument of his own.

This marks the second year Sunnyside has received this honor, following last year’s recipient, Remy Evans-Martinez.
