🔒 SAFETY FIRST: LOCKDOWN DRILL COMPLETED 🔒

Today, Sunnyside High School conducted a planned lockdown drill as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our students and staff safe.

The drill provided an opportunity for students and staff to practice our emergency procedures, reinforce the importance of staying calm and following directions, and help us identify areas where we can continue to improve our preparedness.

We appreciate our students and staff for taking the drill seriously and doing their part to help keep our school community safe.

Parents and guardians, thank you for your continued partnership. We encourage you to take a few moments to talk with your student about the importance of emergency preparedness.

♟️💙 BLUE DEVIL CHESS IS BACK! 💙♟️

After more than 10 years, Sunnyside High School is back in the tournament! 🎉

Congratulations to our Blue Devil Chess team for representing Sunnyside at their first tournament of the season! Our students put in more than five hours of chess games and showed incredible dedication, sportsmanship, and Blue Devil pride throughout the long day. 👏🏽♟️

A HUGE thank you to Ms. Street for helping Coach Joseph Martin and our students get everything ready. Your support helped make this tournament possible! 💙

If you see one of our chess players, be sure to give them a BIG congratulations! 👏🏽

🎓🌅 SENIOR SUNRISE 2026! 🌅🎓

What a way to start the year, Class of 2027! 💙☀️

Our seniors showed up bright and early for an unforgettable Senior Sunrise at Blue Devil Stadium! From watching the sunrise together on Blue Devil Field to hanging out with friends, playing games, and making memories, it was an amazing morning celebrating the Class of 2027.

A HUGE shoutout to Mr. David Nguyen and Student Council for organizing such an incredible event! 👏💙 And thank you to everyone who woke up early, showed up, and helped make Senior Sunrise such a special experience for our seniors.
