Nosotros Academy is proud to celebrate sisters Mia and Ami Campos as they continue pursuing their education, serving their community, and building bright futures!

🎓 Ami Campos, a Class of 2026 Senior, earned a FULL-RIDE scholarship to Grand Canyon University! Ami plans to major in Business while continuing to serve her local church here in Tucson. She also received a scholarship from the David Encinas Scholarship Fund to support her journey after graduation!

💼 Mia Campos is showing us that it’s not how you start, but how you finish! Mia has opened her own LLC, is running her own business, serves as a leader at her local church, and is now returning to Grand Canyon University full-time to finish what she started. Mia also received a David Encinas Scholarship to help her continue her education!

Two sisters. Two different journeys. One commitment to education, faith, service, and building a better future. 💜

Nosotros Academy is incredibly proud of Mia Campos as she continues to pursue her goals and build an exciting future!

Mia has already accomplished so much—she opened her own LLC, is running her own business, serves as a leader at her local church, and is now returning to school full-time at Grand Canyon University! 🙌💼📚

We are especially proud of Mia for making the decision to finish what she started. There is tremendous strength in returning to a goal and refusing to give up on it.

Mia recently stopped by Nosotros Academy to receive a scholarship from the David Encinas Scholarship Fund to support her as she heads back to college. 🎓💜

She recently stopped by Nosotros Academy to receive the David Encinas Scholarship and celebrate this exciting milestone with Nosotros Academy administrators Mr. A, Ms. Erika, and Mr. P.

The David Encinas Scholarship continues the legacy of a beloved Nosotros Academy educator by helping graduates pursue their education, career training, and dreams after high school.

🎉 We are incredibly proud of Nosotros Academy graduate Everado Ruiz! 🇺🇸

Everado has successfully completed 13 weeks of United States Marine Corps recruit training, an intensive process designed to transform recruits from civilians into United States Marines. What an incredible accomplishment! 💪🏽🦅🌎⚓️

Everado stopped by Nosotros Academy and took some photos with our wonderful administrators Mr. A, Ms. Erika, and Mr. P. It was a special opportunity to celebrate one of our graduates and recognize how far he has come.

We are also proud that Everado is a recipient of the David Encinas Scholarship, created to continue supporting Nosotros Academy graduates as they pursue their education, careers, and dreams beyond high school.

🎓🐻 Congratulations, Michael Martinez!

We are incredibly proud of Nosotros Academy graduate Michael Martinez, who officially began his journey at the University of Arizona this week — with a FULL-RIDE scholarship! 🎉

Michael recently stopped by Nosotros Academy to receive an additional scholarship check through our David Encinas Scholarship Program.

Mr. David Encinas was a beloved alternative education teacher who dedicated 20 years of service to Nosotros Academy and our students. Upon his passing, he left behind a scholarship endowment to help Nosotros Academy graduates with college tuition, books, supplies, and other educational expenses for generations to come.

What a powerful legacy. ❤️ Mr. Encinas believed in our students and envisioned a future where they would leave Nosotros Academy prepared to pursue college, careers, and opportunities beyond our campus.

Today, Michael is living out that vision.

At Nosotros Academy, we want students to experience learning that connects directly to the real world. 🧑‍🏭🔥

Under the guidance of Mr. Paz, our high school students are getting their first hands-on experiences in our Welding Exploratory Class—learning the fundamentals of welding, safety, craftsmanship, and working with tools and materials.

The welding industry offers pathways into construction, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, fabrication, and other skilled trades. For some of our students, an exploratory class like this could be the first step toward discovering a career they never knew was possible.

We can’t wait to see their skills develop and the projects they create throughout the year!

A big thank you to Grand Canyon University Recruitment Counselor Cesar Galvez for spending time with our Nosotros Academy students and encouraging them to dream big about their future! 🎓

Our students had the opportunity to learn more about Grand Canyon University, the academic programs offered, and the many educational and career pathways available to them after high school.

Experiences like these are important because they expose our students to different possibilities and help them begin thinking about where their education can take them. We appreciate Cesar for encouraging our students to set ambitious goals and consider GCU as one of their options for higher education!

The visit started with a unity clap, bringing our students together and setting the tone for an exciting conversation about college and the opportunities ahead.
