At Drachman, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Through Montessori materials, creative exploration, outdoor experiences, and a supportive community, students are empowered to grow into confident, compassionate learners. Did you know at Drachman Montessori we have published authors? 📚 Yearly, Ms. Elisa and Ms. Rebecca’s class works with and teaching artist Ms. Taylor to create poems to submit to an anthology. We celebrate these published poems with a reading at the poetry center in May. Students shared the poems they wrote in front of an audience, even the teachers read poems this year! 🎤

Help us celebrate the recently graduated Zuzeth and Jared! 🎓Both interned at Drachman working with K-1 students in Ms. Rebecca’s class on their handwriting, listened to them read, and supported their lunch/recess. We are thankful for the opportunity to work with Jared and Zuzeth, they were valued members of our team who will be missed! ✏️📚

Quilts our Drachman K-3 students sewed with Ms. Nancy being donated to Project Linus.

In Montessori, learning doesn't stay on the page, it comes to life through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Students in Kinder -3rd Grade discovered how the math skills they practice every day have real-world applications through quilting!
Working alongside our wonderful volunteer, Ms. Nancy, students measured carefully, used fractions, and applied problem-solving skills to sew two beautiful quilts. This project perfectly demonstrated how math and Practical Life work together to build confidence, precision, and purpose.
A special thank you to Educational Enrichment Foundation for funding this enriching experience and making this project possible.
We're also proud to share that the two completed quilts were donated to Project Linus, providing comfort and warmth to children in need. What a meaningful way for our students to use their learning to make a difference in the lives of others! ❤️🧵🪡

Were you able to catch the Nature Pop exhibit at the ? Our 1st grader Benicio Cisneros-Kerfoot participated in the Community LEGO Building contest and got an honorable mention. Way to go Benicio! 🧱
