We are incredibly proud to share that Booth-Fickett K-8 was represented at the annual Summer Institute for Culturally Responsive Education (SICRE), an inspiring event hosted by the Culturally Responsive Pedagogy and Instruction Department, in partnership with TUSD and the University of Arizona’s Department of Educational Policy Studies and Practice. 🎓✨
Mr. V and Mr. Buus were invited to participate in this amazing learning experience, and we’re excited to celebrate that Mr. V had the honor of presenting to fellow teachers and educators! 🙌 He shared all the GREAT things happening right here at Booth-Fickett, highlighting the incredible work of our students, staff, and community. 💙📚

We are excited to celebrate our amazing 8th grade students during two special events this May! 🎓✨
We will recognize all of their hard work, accomplishments, and this exciting milestone at the 8th Grade Breakfast on Monday, May 18th, followed by 8th Grade Promotion on Tuesday, May 19th. More details coming soon!

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up, May 4–May 8, with Teacher Appreciation Day on May 5. This is a great opportunity to recognize the time, effort, and care our teachers invest in supporting students every day. We encourage our school community to take a moment this week to share a message, note, or gesture of appreciation. We also want to thank our families and community for the ongoing support you show our teachers—it plays an important role in making our school a strong and positive place to learn.

Our Literacy Night was a tremendous success! It was great to see so many families come out to support reading and learning together. The energy and excitement around literacy made the evening truly special for our students. We sincerely appreciate all of our families for taking the time to join us and be part of this event. A special thank you to Walmart for generously providing food for our families—we are grateful for your support in helping make the night such a success.
